Once again well done Presti!

Presti loves his Northwest players. Kyle Weaver from WSU, Nate Rob from UW and now he traded for Domas Sabonis from Gonzaga who is a freaking stud. Oladipo is and very, very, nice piece as well. And to be quite honest those two players eclipse what Ibaka brings to the table these days. But Presti knows what he is doing and it's no accident he continues to have ties to the Northwest.

But let me tell you, Domas Sabonis is going to wear guys out in the paint. He has sensational footwork, an awesome lefty hook, very solid right hook can hit the college 3 at a decent clip although he didn't take many. He has great court awareness and like his pops can thread the needle with a pass. But mostly the kids motor doesn't stop. He simply out works the opponent.

He and Adams will be sending guys to the locker room on stretchers. Great move by Presti to lure the carrot for KD to re-sign.

Yikes. I feel for you guys, it was a good run. Lot of heartbreak. I guess prepping for the rebuild. I wish you'd given it one more go to win the title though.

Does this mean durant is going to ny?

Serge Ibaka got me into basketball pretty much. He was the first player that I watched and genuinely liked. He was the first player that for me excited about the sport. Since then I've morphed into more of just an OKC fan, and so I'm not entirely torn up by my favorite player's departure. There's no denying that this was a great trade for okc, but I just which it weren't for serge

I don't see the heart break. All I see is a more talented OKC team. This move made KD's decision a lot more difficult Oladipo give Durant and Westbrook the best third option since Harden left, plus he plays D. If KD stays they will be in the finals next year. If he leaves who knows how long it will take to make the finals.

I'm just hoping this isn't a bad sign for KD.

But it was a great haul.

Presti doesn't make this move if he believes KD is leaving. This is a make the team better trade not a try to rebuild trade. If Presti was under the impression that KD was leaving Oladipo wouldn't have been the return. It would have been sending Ibaka to Boston for multiple picks, including #3, and sending Westbrook to the Lakers for D'Angelo Russell and Ingram. Presti would have just rebooted the process using his current assets, Westbrook and Ibaka, to accumulate the next young core.

The team is better now than it was this morning. When KD resigns and Presti makes a few more smaller moves the roster will be in better shape than it has ever been. Kanter gets moved next. A veteran PF gets brought in to be the starter. Then everything will fall into place.

That's me too. Sort of scares me this is the first step in blowing it up. Hope not.

i think i feel kinda bad, but not sure though.
maybe i'm still clinging to that playoff series when okc lost ibaka and sas trampled all over them inside.
maybe i felt warm about ibaka, westbrook, and kd basically growing up together.

with that, i always knew ibaka wasn't the 3rd big scorer they needed and he was just out of place trying to be. this is kinda sad, really. i hope ibaka works out great, but i hope okc takes a step in the right direction.

i think this augers that kd is here to stay because there was NO WAY okc was going to add a star without letting go of ibaka. ibaka is trade GREAT bait. i mean i always thought kd was staying anyway but okc wants to move from top3 to top1 and keeping ibaka was essentially saying they were happy at #2 or #3. it is a serendipitous time to make such a move. to me it's the move of the night. no other top3 ream is making moves.

i wish ibaka well - he's going to look so so weird in a magic uni

I agree he looked like a beast in college but how big is he? Draft Express has him listed at 240 lbs. I don't think those physical aspects of his game are going to necessarily translate to the NBA. I do hope the skills, the passing the soft touch, those things will translate and make him a 10 year pro (hopefully).

just the opposite. it augers well for okc that kd will stay. there was no way for okc to add a quality star-level player to take that one last step unless they gave up quality. i really think this is a big move where presti talked to "a few players" about it and that means kd/rw gave the ok, which means kd stays. if this was about possibly/probably losing kd, it would have occurred deep into FA , not this early, because you fight to keep kd until the very last minute.

i know in the back of everyone's mind is the harden trade, but they still had rw and kd.

Don't kill me for trolling guys, I'm a Magic fan, what are we getting in Ibaka, I've heard nothing but bad media on him tonight, figured I'd go to the folks who watch him the most. The Thunder are my next favorite squad. You guys will love Oladipo, class act, very willing and high energy defender. Solid scorer with room to improve. Capable of huge scoring nights if Durant and Westbrook are having a rare off night. I feel Victor is OKC's missing piece to a title run.

Oladipo will get better and better and will be the SG that they have been missing especially as the 3rd option. While getting a lottery pick big man in Sabonis will have great value, i think ilyasova will also be key because of his 3pt shooting and rebounding together with the development of Adams. With KD back, they will be a better contender next season.

Great haul, gotta trade Kanter for a F somehow.

Westbrook-Payne
Roberson-Oladipo
Durant-Singler-Huestis
Ilyasova-Sabonis-Collison
Adams-McGary

Maybe trade him to Houston for Brewer and Ariza or a S&T Terrence Jones

Doubt they want to do that, like Kanter doesnt have all that much value
Presti has to know that it is impossible to keep Kanter, Adams, Roberson, Oladipo, Durant and Westbrook right? and that Kanter is the guy that you should move, like that trade should be something obvious

thats Ilyasova, Durant will play a ton of PF too and Sabonis/McGary will see some minutes
the important thing is dump Enes and sign a wing better than Singler/Huestis or trade him for a wing

If you can move Enes for a future 1st and capspace I woudl go for that.

The Thunder should look into signing Ryan Anderson or if he's too expensive, look at Mirza Teletovic.

Teletovic could be an option. Assuming they keep Ilyasova the most they will have is the MLE and possibly the taxpayer's MLE. So unless they move Kanter FA will be slim pickings.
