First preparation game starts in 2 hours :-) Not sure if Domas will play, although his dad and oldest brother were watching today's practice...

If anyone is interested in tuning in, here a link to the stream that's 100% legal and safe (one of the biggest Lithuanian news sites streaming it for free):

http://www.delfi.lt/video/transliacijos/anonsai/lietuva-vs-naujoji-zelandija-draugiskos-rungtynes.d?id=71290826

Other exhibition games should be available there as well.

Domas flew back to Lithuania today and has joined the national team. Next exhibition/preparation game - July 10th vs Venezuela. He will most likely play then :-)

Lithuanian site took a small interview from Domantas. He said he's a bit disappointed that Durant left, but that doesn't matter because OKC still has a good team even without him :-)

Honestly just said it elsewhere, but he's one of the few things I'm looking forward to this season, really want to see him in the rotation now and from what Smitty said it seems he will be.

Payne, sabonis, Adams, Russ big 4!

I'm actually getting really excited about this year, we have a complete unknown future for the first time in ages and a lot of guys that just seem fun will be important factors again. We kinda lost some of that over the last couple years, serge seemed to be more introspective, durant had some type of mid basketball life crisis, Dion was just infuriating, Reggie went ego... It will be nice to see guys look like they're excited to be in the NBA.

Also they've got cap space. Heck even for a salary dump. I'm really hoping Russ stays and its like Portland last year. I can live with that, no pressure, won't bother w/ LP, watch whatever's on TV.

Sabonis has to play, I think he has a relatively NBA-ready game. Quick on his feet, high motor and good inside scorer who should find success in today's small-ball oriented league. If he can develop a jumpshot out to the three-point line, that could really propel his game to the next level. But that's probably a couple of years down the road.

Maybe I'm just going through the stages of grief, but I am starting to get pretty excited about next season, too, if we still have Westbrook. I mean a core of Westbrook, Adams, Oladipo, Roberson, Kanter, Payne, and Sabonis is still a lot better than quite a few teams in the league. Take away the heavy stress inducing "title or bust" expectations, and at least watching games can just be fun again. And since we have a young, fun core (with the caveat of Russ still being around), next year could be a lot of fun.

I got really excited today too. I haven't been able to even watch summer league for a few days, but Cam's been good from what I have seen, and I'm excited for Dipo and Sabonis too. If Russ is still around I'm looking forward to it and think it will be fun as well, with the burden of expectations gone.

I couldn't say why exactly but I'm still having a hard time seeing it with this kid. The short wingspan and so so athleticism just doesn't scream modern NBA to me. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't expect much at all out of Sabonis this year. he is a rookie and he will take some time to adjust to the pace and physicality of the NBA game. Doesn't really play above the rim either so he is more likely to revert to mid range initially. Mitch will probably be more useful initially but hopeful Sabonis gets some playing time to develop

I really like this guy. Tough, dawg mentality and will crash the boards. Seems like he'll be - at the worst - a solid 'glue guy' in the league.

I watched every college game Sabonis played. And from a distance I still watch the Thunder a bit. The kid is an animal. Worst case you're going to get a tenacious rebounder.

I think you'll be getting another Nick Collison type of guy. He is very fundamentally sound with his footwork. He is a very smart player, knows where guys should be and is a very capable passer.

You're right his athleticism isn't off the charts but it isn't horrible either. At Gonzaga he had a relentless work ethic.

I can see Adams challenging shots and Sabonis cleaning the glass for days. Those two paired together are going to punish people.

He also has a decent stroke. He didn't take a ton of college 3's but he hit them at a decent clip when he did.

Karl Malone wasn't the most athletic guy either but he played with a great point guard and those two ran the pick and roll to perfection.

I think the right situation with Sabonis or any player for that matter is huge. But what OKC needs and what Sabonis has to offer should fit like a glove.

If he can live up to being prime Nick Collison I'll be pretty happy considering he was pick 11.

Literally everything I've read about him just screams Collison to me. Even the okay athleticism, and I'd bet they have a similar standing reach.
