Where do we go from here? SF edition

So SF was a hole before KD left. Now it's a gaping hole.
As far as who is on the roster, Singler, Huestis, and Roberson can all play SF. Assuming Russ doesn't get traded, how do we fill out the roster?
Who's available in Free Agency:Lance Stephenson
Dorell Wright
Harrison Barnes (please don't suggest Harrison Barnes)
Mo Harkless
Lance Thomas
Alonzo Gee
Damjan Rudez
Jordan Hamilton
Quincy Acy
Metta World Peace
Allen Crabbe
Tayshaun Prince
Damien Inglis
Cleanthony Early
James McAdoo
Chase Budinger
My suggestion: sign Crabbe to a big offer sheet and pray Olshey doesn't match. He will, though.
Or go for Harkless.
Thomas could be useful as a 3/4 tweener, too.

Roberson starts and Huestis comes off the bench. They could trade for Tyreke, perhaps Ilyasova and McGary for Tyreke. NOLA has drafted and signed a total of 3 new wings while losing Ryan Anderson. Ilyasova gives them that Ryan Anderson skill set. Both Ilyasova and Tyreke are expiring contracts so no one gets stuck with a mistake. It helps balance the rosters.

So assuming we match Waiters, 4 ball-dominant guards? Only works if Reke is off the bench. He's a black hole.

I don't see Presti matching Waiters unless he is cheap. Presti won't take himself out of the running for a max player next off-season by matching a $15M offer to Waiters when he just brought in Oladipo.

Well, it is very complicated situation. Portland will match every offer for Crabbe.
Probably we ca't get anything valuable for Mitch....so I don't know. Maybe the worse SF rotation in NBA.

Morrow was the sf last time we lost Durant. We have to have shooting somewhere.

I think Crabbe has agreed to Brooklyn offer sheet. If you don't like Barnes (which I understand, neither do I and as a Suns fan I didn't want him, but thought he might work out ok in OKC, and might be a nice chip on the shoulder against GS), then I think Harkless is worth the flier. Can guard the 1-4, so the team could create even more havoc defensively, but the question then is where does the offense come from?
Or do you try to retain enough cap space for next summer when this year takes it's toll on Durant and he misses OKC and wants to come back when he opts out next offseason after getting an inside look at how GS operates?

Yeah, just saw that, and Portland isn't matching.
Maybe you just go full AI and surround Russ with defense?

Actually I don't know if you guys would be for this, but if you wanted a guy that leaves his heart on the floor somewhat Westbrook style (though nobody quite has that kind of intensity) and has a small one year $5.3M contract (so you would still have a ton of cap space this next year), Phx would probably deal you PJ Tucker, though it would probably take a late first. He is a great locker room guy too. I don't know if Phx wants to move on from him, but they did just sign Dudley.

I'd take PJ in a heartbeat.

It would have to be a heavily protected first.

I think it all hangs on what Russell Westbrook does this offseason. If OKC can't get him to sign a deal now then they most trade him before the start of this season.I know a huge blow to lose two of the top five players in the league in the same offseason and to go from a title contender to a boardline playoff team. But if Westbrook does get trade I would look to trade him for a starting PG and SF that are young and have a ton of upside.I posted this already as a Wolves fan but I would offer Wiggins and either Dunn or Rubio plus a possible future 1st round pick to get Westbrook. If you could pull off a deal like this the Thunder going forward would have a starting five of...
PG: Dunn
SG: Dipo
SF: Wiggins
PF: Sabonis
C: Adams
thats a very strong and extremely young squad that would be really interesting to watch and could still be a playoff team.

Yeah, I just posted it in the trade forum to get thoughts and actually put lotto protected because from your side, if things went really bad this year, then losing the pick would be painful, so no way you guys do it without, at minimum, lotto protection, and for future years maybe even more protection or turning into two seconds after a few.

Nobody would give that for one year of Westbrook, especially not a Western Conference team that knows they won't make the finals now. If you do want to compete for a playoff spot trade Payne for Robert Covington of the Sixers. Saves about 4 million in cap space and gives you a 3 and D guy who can play and guard 2-4.

I would consider going after Allen Crabbe. There were reports that he signed an offer sheet with the Nets but those reports have since been refuted by his agent. He really had a coming out last year and I think he would fit in OKC's system.

You guys need small forward who can space the floor for Westbrook and Olidibo, so best option right now would be to sign Lance Thompson and if you wanna go cheaper Damian Ingles...
C- Adam
PF- Kanter... Should be easily second option 19ppg+
SF-? Lance Thomas
SG- Olidibo
PG- Westbrook ... 28ppg+

Crabble signed offersheet with Nets that for sure, 4/70. Rumor has it Portland will not match.
For now, yeah Mo Harkless is the best of the crop.
Why Marcus Thorton is not on the list? Dude can shoot lights out, can handle, good fit next to Westbrook and Roberson.

That offer sheet news got recanted tho, right?
