The Price signing reminds me a bit of Sam bringing Kevin Ollie on board for that season, a move that since many of our then young players credited with helping to bring an example of professionalism to that locker room. It's probably more necessary at this point since we're increasingly looking like a young rebuilding team (or a young-ish team just trying to tread water if we can keep Russ).

With the talk that we were going to sign semaj, I think Price was actually brought in for on court reasons as insurance at backup point if cam isn't ready to start the season.

He played ok in Phx last year. His fg% was bad but that's mostly because he shot more 3s than 2s. He hit them at 34.7% which isn't terrible. He is better on the defensive side of the ball though and can be pretty pesky. The main thing is that he's a good locker room guy. Suns apparently really wanted him back but didn't want to commit to two years.

lol:

Somehow he was 23rd in RPM for PGs last year.

Mainly because he was 4th in DRPM. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1

Yeah but Vic could probably play backup point guard in a pinch.
Personally I don't think Semaj is any good, the odd summer league game here or there to the contrary notwithstanding. Previously we might have been able to take a Mulligan for a 15th man like they did with Jerrett (particularly if they thought there was some upside there since we are no longer realistically aiming for a title). Now, though we probably need to get some sort of leadership out of that spot so we can develop the young guys.

Should I get a license plate with 'OKC' in the middle for my new car?

David Pick on Twitter says we are bringing Kaleb Tarczewski into camp and plan to sign him to the Blue. That's an interesting under the radar move. That kid has legit NBA size and toughness for the center position. Maybe he can battle it out with Dakari for backup center should Kanter be dealt for a wing upgrade.

Good for Slater. Now the Oklahoman can hire Royce.

Saw reports that Oladipo is after max extension. Can't see why Presti would do that. Nothing to lose by sitting

I assume that's true. No loyalty here at this point. No reason whatsoever to cut Presti a break. But that's the beauty of restricted free agency.

Everyone "wants" a max extension. That's not really news. Plus better chances Adams gets it.

Both Dipo and Adams will get max extensions next off-season.

Will be really interesting to see how Victor plays this season. Past performance would indicate a max for him wouldn't be merited but we're probably stuck paying it because someone else will screw us like happened with Kanter. Hopefully he plays well enough this season we can feel good matching any offer and moving forward.

He's pretty darn close honestly. Fournier got 5/85, and I'd take Oladipo over him.

There is a rumor from some guy named Adam Joseph that Russ is set to sign an extension tomorrow. Anyone know anything about this guy and is he credible? If this is true Russ instantly becomes a living legend, atleast in my eyes.
