GSW are just too good when they play hard and stay concentrated. The playoffs would be so boring this season.
Anyway, good thing this game is over so the media can shut up for a bit about Durant's return to OKC, all this was getting tiresome. Great scoring game by Westbrook, but it is just not enough when the Warriors get going and the D is mediocre, and the lack of shooting is still a huge issue for the Thunder. It was exemplified by a play in the fourth when the Thunder were making a run, Grant got the ball at the three point line and was completely open, the crowd was ready to explode...and he shot an airball.

Russ needs some pitbulls. This team currently has too many chihuahuas.
The main three guys show up for the most part. The rest of the roster ....

Wish Cleveland could compete against them but I don't see how ( if GSW is healthy ).
Don't care about losing tonight. Very proud to be a thunder fan because of our amazing crowd showed up big time and Russ did the job.
Just hope we can make some trades before trade deadline or next offseason because Russ really need help and it's a waste of time for such a talented guy in his prime

Stephen A Smith is bashing the lack of help RW lacks. Maybe Presti will feel a measure of embarrassment and attempt to do something.

"Andre Roberson is allergic to offensive prosperity," Stephen A. Smith.

I posted this in the game thread but figured I'd post it here, too. Gotta hope someone wants to join me in my misery.
This is what Durant's done to us in three games:
37.7 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.3 BPG, 65.5% FG, 65.2% 3P, 90% FT, 80.9% TS

I like Roberson quite a bit, he seems a cool dude and his D is spectacular but in the modern NBA you are a net negative if you shoot as badly as he is currently doing no matter how great your D is. Last year he was still a bad shooter, but he reached a point where he did enough to not be a burden overall - 31% overall from 3, 36% from the corners. This year he's shooting 25.4% from the corners and 24% overall from 3 and not only that, but he's getting worse the whole season, in the last month he's shot below 10% even though nobody ever guards him at the 3 point line.

only positive note about roberson offense is that He's using his length and athleticism to attack the paint way more often this year ( but not tonight
But you are right and it's a huge problem that he can't hit a 3

I still think roberson is not our bigger problem, far from that. We just need to have a good wing coming from the bench when we need more scoring and when roberson's defense is not needed so much.. And as much as I love Sabonis (who is playing an a incredible level for a rookie) we need a more mature PF.

Sabonis is a huge shooting slump too currently. And Oladipo has been shooting 28% from 3 in the last 15 games. It's downright remarkable that the starting lineup is still semi-respectable offensively despite that (100.2 ORTG in the last 15 games) and has a positive net rating in that period.

Really no one on this roster should be untradeable if we are going to build around Russ. Presti needs to key in on who he wants and get moving.

Super proud of the crowd. Stayed engaged until the bitter end with us trailing double figures most of the game.

During the telecast, Jeff Van Gundy asked if anyone knew who the 5th leading scorer for the season was for the Thunder. He gave the hint that player wasn't active. Turns out the answer was Josh Huestis. I thought he was embellishing to make a point. No......no he was not embellishing. Josh Huestis at exactly 7.0 ppg is the 5th leading scorer as of right now on the season. 5TH LEADING SCORER at 7 ppg. If anyone wants to bring up "this guy" not making the team better or "that guy" not making the team better in regards to trades, just remember that fact. Dude has played one game all season and jumped into the top 5 on the season and remains there. This team can't just hold out for a Gordon Hayward or a Blake Griffin or someone of that ilk. It needs more players that can insert the basketball in the hoop at a respectable clip on a consistent basis. Trade, buyout, draft... whatever. We shouldn't turn our noses up at acquiring any player(s). When your 5th leading scorer is Josh Huestis, you give up any right to scoff at anyone.

I've always said the first thing we need is shooting, but I think I have to adjust my stance: Van Gundy said something along the lines of 'What separates good and bad team is consistency'. I think that's spot on for us.
What we need is guys with consistency. Our biggest problem is that Russ is the only guy who brings it every single game. Adams and Dipo bring it 7-8 out of 10 games, Robes brings it defensively every game, and that's basically it. The rest of the team is non-existent on a regular basis. We have Sabonis, Payne, Abrines, Morrow, Grant and Lauvergne. 90 % of the time, just one of those guys actually contributes.
Given that Russ is responsible for ~90 % of our offensive output, that's just not enough. Our supporting cast is not nearly good enough to make up for the lack up top (next to Russ).
PS: It is still heavily underrated how terrible we've been without Russ on the floor. -12.0 NetRtG isn't even D-League level. That's worse than this year's 76ers without Embiid on the floor. That's worse than the 2014-2016 76ers in every single year.

At some point the media has to realize that its job is to report stuff and not enable agendas.
They're plaing right into the 'Look at us, we're the victims' narrative by being a part of stupid **** like that.

This is hilarious. Her son is a multimillionaire and we're supposed to be outraged that some fans shouted insults at him and she heard it. Give me a break.
Durant's mother spent years regularly going to games. Surely she must know that players get insulted all the time by fans and it doesn't seem to have bothered her until now. What is next, she'd go to the arena in every away playoff game and then complain that her baby was insulted by the fans of the other team?

Meh, she's not stupid, she's playing the right angle and trying to help his public image. It will work with some people, and others will point out that he's such a cupcake that mommy still has to protect him.

Weird thing is, I honestly think cupcake is oblivious to the whole thing. I don't think he sees himself as having done anything abnormal. Which makes me wonder, when he broke up with Monica Wright if he ever let her know face to face, or even via text? He seems to think just not communicating is fine, and better yet that this situation is no different than any other. I honestly can't wish him anything but utter failure in his basketball career. And I think enough fans see that he's not really adding a ton to a legacy by being a better Harrison Barnes.
