Weirdly enough I thought Roberson played excellent D on Anthony, even though he gave up 30. Particularly in the second quarter run, where he basically smothered 'Melo an caused 3-4 turnovers or bad shots in a row.

So did Russ embrace Melo after the game?

Some players did, but the camera cut around a bit so you didn't see all of the post game.
I apologize Andre. You got burnt in the first quarter, but you bounced back well. Still need that wing shooting though.
Vic just keeps pulling me back in. I'm about to abandon hope in cam. I don't know if he will ever be a solid backup guard. He can't break guys down off the dribble, and his shooting borderlines on playing craps. Ron baker and holiday had him locked up. What the hell would he do against really good guards. This next crop of point guards entering the league are going to reap his soul. At least semaj can play some d. If he gets traded it has to be soon. At least now, someone might be duped into betting on upside. Reggie was a knucklehead, but you could at least see flashes on occasion.

I guess it should be Kanter for giving the team an opportunity to play unselfish basketball in a rather easy schedule instead of dumping the ball to him in every possession. He is so considerate.

His problem is that he's just floating around out there. He isn't taking initiative. He's just there.

I didn't watch. After sitting through the Arkansas/South Carolina game, then the North Carolina/NC State game, I was all "sportsed" out for the evening. Sitting through three of my favorite teams' games in one evening is more stress than I can handle. Saw where we gave up 60 in the first half for the third game in a row. Can't believe we were down 49-32 at one point close to midway through the second quarter and managed to have the lead at halftime. What the heck happened?

I don't think Russ had any interaction with Melo. I saw him give Rose a pat on the butt when RW went to the bench at the end of the game. He did a quick interview after the game and appeared to head to the locker room.
I'm not going to fall in love with Vic after tonight's game. Keep in mind he's coming off a six point performance. He had a nice game last night. No one questions his ability, but they do question his consistency. He had a nice stat line last night but I still see little things that need to improve if he's going through stay here and be worth his contract.

Westbrook got mad, you finally started playing defense, Oladipo hit some threes and the Knicks helped by making a bunch of dumb turnovers as they usually do. And most unlikely of all, Roberson hit a 3 to give you the lead. That was his second made 3 since January 17th.

How was Dipo a +26? Was he on the bench while the team got trashed in the 1st half?

I totally agree. And I was looking for Melo to slow down in 2nd half as Roberson just didnt stop and it seemed inevitable that Melo would get tired and hopefully frustrated. I didnt see any frustration thou, only that he got tired.
Cant blame Roberson for the hot start Melo had.

Well he was out there for the whole 28-9 (or whatever it was) run in the second, so that would have helped.

There was definitely a little frustration, he threw some unnecessarily hard shoulders into dre while they were battling for position off the ball. Seemed like they were beating the crap out of each other but neither guy was really mad about it or anything.
