Literally any pg is better than what we have now. Phil pressey maybe? If we are going to have vic playing significant time with the second unit I'd give Jonathan Gibson a try, from what I saw of him with the mavs he's a gunner who is better off the ball. That would be perfect with vic and enes having most of the responsibility.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some perk, but shouldn't we at least try to actually address the roster issue?

Probably. But I admit a few things:
1. Ulterior motives.
2. Love Perk.
3. Actually don't think Russ would mind at all.
4. Chance he's a legit Draymond enforcer for 1 game.

I'd waive Christon, sign Dakari and a real backup PG

Why not go for Jose Calderon? Even if just to irk the Warriors.

No point in burning a year of Dakari's contract now that enes is back.

That's a good point. Overall, I want us to resign/extend Gibson, sign Johnson and trade Kanter for additional help.

Gibson, Sabonis, Adams, Johnson should be a very nice frontcourt.

I'm in wait and see mode. It all kinda depends on what taj is gonna make, if he's going to get kanter money then I don't know that I'd bring him back. As is we HAVE to upgrade the backup pg but the rest of the roster all needs upgrades about equally, it makes sense to wait until after the draft to make a decision.

What I think actually happens is that we end up drafting TJ Leaf, re-sign robes, have to let Taj walk, and try to sign a Ronnie Price vet again.

Yeah, it's kind of a tough situation with Gibson. If I'm Presti, I'm trying to extend him before he hits the open market. He's never really had a big contract, so might look to cash in one last time. Word is he seems to be teamplayer tho, so maybe he'd be willing to stay if we can give him a decent role and a nice raise. Don't know.

I have to say I kinda doubt he will get offers north of 12-15 p.a. This whole salary frenzy will come on the end rather quickly once teams realize that they actually have to pay guys and the cap won't rise infinitely every year.

Keep in mind that Taj will be 32 next season. I don't think he's going to get a big contract. Maybe something in the $10-12M/yr range, but I don't see him getting Kanter money for his age 32-35 seasons. He's more of a MLE type at this point in his career.

No way he only gets MLE, I think a team could offer him 30/2 which we probably can't do.

Not sure why I say this beyond pure cynicism from years watching the league, but I see Taj doing like 2 years guaranteed 3rd year player option in one of those destination cities (NY, LA, Miami, maybe even Orlando or PHX if he just want nice weather). He's spent the last six or seven years in Chicago, you can't tell me that wouldn't be enticing.

In terms of the open roster spot, for the love of god, please sign a PG. Any PG. Christon stinks. That said I'm sure they'll pick up Perkins.

I would love to see them bring in Jordan Farmar. He would be able to run the second unit with Oladipo as well as bringing in even more 3 point shooting. A 2nd unit with Farmar, Oladipo, McDermott, Sabonis/Gibson and Kanter would be pretty nice.

How much longer into the season are 10 day contracts allowed? Would like to see Pierre Jackson given a chance possibly. He's had horrible luck injury wise, but when healthy has been pretty good. Carved us up in January for the Mavs before tweaking his hamstring.
