When you have 19 assists nobody else can be potg. It is nice to see vic actually handling and attacking, if he keeps it up then we've got a keeper. Concerns me that he starts poorly every season though

I don't know which it is, exactly, but Westbrook was either very aware that he was dangerously close to dipping below 10 APG or that he was hearing the media scrutiny because we were coming off a four game losing streak culminating in Westbrook scoring 58 points in a loss. Whatever it is (probably a combination of both), he's had 13, 14, and 19 assists.

Teammates (especially Adams, and moving taj to stater) stopped sucking.

Good thing that Assistbrook was here tonight cause Shootbrook sucked.

But seriously, good win against a team that shot REALLY well in the first half. Like 70%. Ridiculous.

Thought Sabonis played a really good game. Did a good job on defense & moving the ball around. Surprised he only had 2 fouls since it felt like everybody else had 3 or 4.

I'll take the win.

-Adams looked really slow on defense; his rotations are still baffling to me.
-Gibson is such a nice addition. Russ-Gibson is now at 116.2 ORtG | 107.2 DRtG | +9.0 NetRtG in 158 minutes (DRtG yesterday was terrible tho)
-Dipo has played very well since coming back. Over the last 10 games, he's averaging 18.7 PPG/4.7 RPG/2.1 APG/1.3 SPG on 50 % from the field and 43.8 % from 3. Let's hope he can keep that up. If he could give us close to 20 a night on good shooting and with additional playmaking, we'd be so much better.
-Domas has played well since coming off the bench
-Our bench actually moved the ball last night and didn't just settle for a Kanter post-up every time down the floor.
-Donovan giving Christon 18 minutes a game over the last 3 is just maddening, especially since he seems to believe that 'going small' means playing Christon.

Yeah, no coach anywhere should believe that "going _______" means playing Christon. Semaj Christon is the type of terrible that shouldn't even see the floor even if his team is winning or losing by 25 with two minutes to go because he's so terrible he shouldn't even be anywhere close to being on an NBA roster.

Yet, here we are playing him dang near 20 MPG in a three game stretch. Christon is one of those players whose BBR page people stumble across somehow in 5-10 years from now, look at his stats, and wonder how in the world he managed to play about 60 games at 15 MPG. Their first instinct is going to assume his team was terrible and tanking, but then they'll click "OKC" in the team column and see that we won 45 games and made the playoffs and they'll be even more baffled.

Semaj shot 100% in this game. OK, it was one shot which was way off but went in thanks to a hilariously lucky bounce, but still...

Another thing that points to the lack of defense: Adams had a -36.1 On/Off Rating on defense. With him on the floor, we had a negative NetRtG. With Russ off the floor, we outscored them by close to 40 points per 100 poss.

PS: The last 3 games, our offensive balance has been quite nice. Russ not shooting well at all (33 % from the floor, 26 % from 3), yet he's stil averaging 27/12/15. Kanter, Adams and Gibson combine for 40/20, while Dipo adds 21 points on 55 % from the floor. Robes, Sabonis, Abrines and DMD also add some defense and shotmaking.
That's what we should be looking for going forward. I bet Russ is way more content playing this way than having to take 30+ shots.

Seeing his stats with no context would make him seem like an adequate backup pg from the late 50's.

So, Cole's out of the rotation already?

He would be named 'Dick' tho, not backwards James.

If being a fan requires learning about Semaj I'm out. I don't even check his bball reference page, and I religiously checked kyle's last year just to laugh at how horrible he was.

I just had to run the comparison, even at the same age.

Forgot that Smush Parker was at least a semi-competent guard in '06. If you'd've just listened to Kobe fans the last 10 years you'd assume 2006 Smush Parker was basically the same level as Semaj Christon.

You should really check it out sometime. It'll make you laugh, cry, and question everything you thought you knew about what it takes to be a rotation player in the NBA.

Good expected win; Nets just don't have the personnel to match up against a team like OKC. Gibson and McDermott are coming along very nicely and I love the way Westbrook pushed the tempo. Btw, from the years of watching the Nets, they are indeed one of the biggest jokes of a franchise currently in the league. Not surprised watching, from an opposition standpoint now, him get hammered by Taj and Adams. Adams has much higher bball IQ than him. Our performance against Brooklyn was expected in large part because the Nets are a mess of a team. We need to be more consistent against better teams. GO OKC!
