Just wanted to let you guys know that Sam Presti did a good job improving your team and basically stealing Taj Gibson, Doug Mcdermott, and a pick for Cameron Pyane, Joffrey Lauvergne, and Anthony Morrow (who both are FA after this year). First and for most Joffrey Lauvergne is awful he came in last night in Toronto and was like a minus eleven in in 6 minutes and just keep getting everything blocked and his defense was atrocious hasn't done one thing positive since he arrived and Morrow doesn't see the floor he was more of a throw in and Payne was the center piece of the deal but man he hasn't been good at all. Payne has no clue how to run an offense and does not know how to distribute the ball and doesn't look to pass. Payne has also been really bad on the defensive end getting beat and blown by and shows no resistance what so ever and already got sent to the d-league. IDK how these guys performed in OKC but they have been awful with us.
Though i have been watching OKC to see how Tajie Whooo and Dougie have been doing also cause i just can't watch the bulls anymore their just not very good, have an awful coach and their talent is just not very good. So I noticed Taj has been consistent for the most part and has been a huge upgrade to the starting lineup especially with his defense, broads and constant effort/battling when he is out on the floor dude just never gives up on any play. I always loved Taj as a bull and i definitively miss him especially cause he was of the long time and well-respected bulls and Doug as well.
Doug has been inconsistent but last six games or so i noticed that he really hasn't been involved in the offense too much he kind of has been just standing in the corner. It seems like Donovan has no idea how to really use him which was a huge problem with Chicago under Hoiberg and barely has gotten any play set up for him i feel like most of his shots have come from Westbrook mainly and Olidipo rather then set plays. Last game had 21 points (8-9 FGA) (3-4 three point) but then only gets two shots next game. Doug has really good off-ball movement/cutting and has some offensive versatility to go with his shooting but he can be passive at time. When Doug moves without the ball, hunting for his shots, being aggressive that's when he is at his best but has a tendency to rush thing instead of LETTING THE GAME COME TO HIM. He isn't a great defender but he tries when he's out their but his strength and positioning on defense is his biggest problem on defense. His rebounding and Playmaking/passing isn't very good but his rebounding is more of his willingness he is really passive on the boards could probably get boards if he was aggressive but his playmaking is something he can maybe add on down the road.
I really hope Taj resigns with you guys and Doug averages like 13-16 off the bench for you guys next year i just want this trade to backfire on our f/o so they can get the boot but once again i applauded your gm Presti for making your team better of course you need more pieces and etc next to Westbrook but it was a pretty solid trade for you guys and the pick was just a bonus. As for our team the trade basically set us back again the bulls organization is just a mess.
