Surprised for sure. Especially during the moments where he's played above the rim. More explosive than you would expect and attacks closeouts like a proven vet. I don't project him usurping a starting role any time soon like some might predict but I think he'll continue to be an above average bench player. Would like to see him develop as a creator for others. Part of it is that he mostly fits as a catch and shoot guy for us but the 2nd unit needs time to develop the way they share the rock. His defense is smart and he commits to the scheme but he has limitations due to his slight frame he can't guard good dribble penetrators or tough post up guards. Certainly see him as a long term piece.

A-/B+ for me at least. I didn't expect much coming in but he was mostly the best bench guard on the team, which granted didn't take much but I didn't think he'd even play much. Sweet shot and more athletic than I expected. If he adds a little strength it would help defensively, I don't think he's untouchable but I also don't see him being traded unless there's a good offer on a definite upgrade. He's young and cheap and about the only shooter on a team that needs shooters.

The strength thing is a good point and to add on to what he needs to improve on: I'd like to see him tighten up and even learn one or two more advanced moves with his handle. Overseas they play less isolation ball and there's less emphasis on taking your man off the dribble. Now that he's in the states his upside for me is about his growth offensively into more of a guy that can create for himself. Sort of in the mold of a Will Barton/Evan Fournier. He's never going to be jamal crawford but he's already got great one or two dribble moves to attack closeouts like I said above. He's an explosive enough athlete and confident enough to be that guy--it's just about getting better handling the ball for him.

If he bulks up and becomes competent on defense, he'll be deadly. Seems a little frail right now. He's probably the last guy in this team I would trade besides Russ.

I give him a solid A-, and the way Billy used him a C-

It was clear he should've been getting more minutes since like the beginning of December.

B-. The shooting was pretty encouraging but defensively he's a work in progress. Doesn't seem like a total loss though. Hopefully he gets stronger and figures it out. He's got a chance to be a really solid contributor in this league.

He was about what I expected. His defense was a little behind where I thought he was. He should be a solid role player. He is one of the few rotation players that should survive the off-season.

C- or D. He is below average and one dimensional. And the highest paid 1st year 2nd rounder in history.

I found him surprisingly less one dimensional than expected. He already has some ability to leverage his shooting and get to the rim, he needs to get stronger so he can take contact on drives, but he's probably the biggest reason for optimism out of this whole season.
