The dynasty that didn't happen

Let me say first of all it's been incredible to get an NBA team here in Oklahoma (something I never dreamed would happen) and I give Sam Presti a great deal of credit for putting together a team that had 3 MVP level players (something that has never happened in the history of the NBA) and Serge Ibaka which is just an insane amount of talent and it led to a great deal of success but not close to what it should have been which is one of the rarest things in pro sports, a dynasty with multiple championships. His decision to let James Harden go to keep Serge Ibaka will go down as one of the worst decisions in the history of NBA management and as time goes on it gets worse as Harden is either going to win the MVP this year or finish runner up and not only that if they had kept Harden they would have won at least one championship by now and we would still have KD. We should be in the middle of a 4 or 5 championship dynasty right now and instead they probably will lose Westbrook after this season and we will be a lottery team for years to come. They will be doing a "30 for 30" on this one in a few years and it's almost incomprehensible that we didn't get at least one championship with all that talent. It just goes to show you that you must strike while the iron is hot and whatever it might have cost the team to keep Harden they should have paid him whatever he wanted, gone over the luxury tax and kept those 4 guys together and if they had to lose one they should have gotten rid of Ibaka because he was the expendable player, not Harden. It makes me almost sick to think of how good we would be with KD, Westbrook and Harden on this team right now.
