bondom34 Retirement Thread
Some of you may already be aware of this, but bondom34 is retiring from his role as Senior Moderator of the Thunder board.
He was the one who brought me to RealGM, recruiting me from Reddit when he saw a trade post I put together. I quickly fell in love with the Trades and Transactions forum, which brought me into heavy contact with him. We've kept in touch ever since, even without him being on the boards as much.
He's been a great co-mod to have around, a great guy to work with on a regular basis, and one of my better forum friends. He'll be missed.
You might see him lurking around here or there, and if you do, feel free to drop him a note of appreciation for the work he's done over the years to make this board a place where we can enjoy ourselves and discuss the team we love. This board has been a labor of love for him, both in front of and behind the scenes.
Thanks, dom.

Re: bondom34 Retirement Thread
That's really disappointing. Hope you're still around a good bit dom, this board had grown a lot over the past couple of years and it's directly due to you.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm still in the midst of some things, and part of me wants to return some day.
I'm still around and lurking, may post a little bit more than I have of late, I've been watching and looking forward to the draft. I'll try to post some, miss you all.

I wanted to drop by to thank bondom34 for his service to RealGM as a Moderator.
He has done wonderful things for our OKC Thunder Forum and helped make this community what it is today.
The door will always be open for him to return and hope he does.
Thank you for everything Bondom!

Congrats on your retirement. Now you can move on to someplace sunny, like the Miami Heat board or the Arizona Cardinals board.

So do we get a replacement mod? I was going to nominate sleekstak.

You're just mad because okc didn't play their second best player in the playoffs.

Thank Bondom, you helped me with all my trade proposals and taught how to see multiple perspectives in making a decision regarding a player or the team

Re: bondom34 Retirement Thread
I remember when this Thunder board used to pretty much be me, bondom, spearsy, and, like, two or three other posters. It was one of the least active team boards on RealGM which was a real shame given how good our teams were. In fact, I mostly frequented the Thunder Fans message board because, although not super active, it was more active than the Thunder RealGM board. I know bondom gave that place a try, too, and realized it was a pretty big dumpster fire.
My point is, thanks in large part to bondom, the Thunder RealGM has developed into a good little active community. He not only played probably the biggest role in keeping the Thunder forum afloat, he also played the biggest role in helping it grow.
At the risk of getting too sentimental, bondom, you've always seemed like a guy that'd I'd get along with really well. I know we're around the same age and, based on some of our PM conversations, I've always thought we could acatually be pretty good friends in another life. It's a shame you're retiring because you've done a lot for this board. Hope all is well and I hope to still see you around from time to time.

Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Thanks man, I remember the old times myself

Thanks for all the kind words, to you and everyone. This place is why I'm a Thunder fan.

OMG you were younger than me?! I always thought you should be as old as those two grouchy old men in Muppet Show to nitpick everything I write, you should relax a bit and enjoy things as they come

Thanks for keeping things tidy though, I will surely refer you for the role of Sgt. Hartman in the coming FMJ remake.
