It's weird that wins like these only feel marginally better than losses to the magic and mavs.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

This win feels (a bit) like a loss.

Also Steven Adams is our Big One.

This win concerns me more than some of the losses.

Westbrook 2/6 from the FT line? That's bad, even by his standards this year.

George and Carmelo combine for a whopping 17 points on 6/27 shooting against the seriously depleted Spurs?

10/21 from the FT line as a team?

We scored a grand total of 90 points against the Kawhi-less, Aldridge-less, Parker-less, Gay-less, Ginobili-less Spurs?

What a painful, wholly underwhelming win.

We did lose to Dallas though, so it's technically progress.

Not even putting up a career high on 100% shooting is enough to convince donovan to get adams involved in second halves.

+1

So sick of Adams getting 10 easy points in the first quarter of every game just for him to only be able to score off putbacks in the second half. Run some damn sets for Adams.

We had a lot of open shots that we didn't hit tbh, but still embarrassing to almost lose to this Spurs team.

I voted Russ because I thought he did a good job getting guys easy looks. He may have had closer to 15 asts if PG wasn’t awful shooting the ball tonight. Melo missed a couple of catch and shoot 3s

The 6-27 is mostly George going 2-17. He had a bad shooting night. It happens.

all that matters is that they got the W.

Was it pretty? Nope. But it’s a good sign they won two close games down the stretch considering how many they’ve blown.

Can’t get these games back. An ugly W is better than a pretty L

Not inspiring but a win, and it felt more like just missing shots than playing really poorly. I'm not inspired but not exactly concerned from anything specific to this game other than lack of Adams minutes. He and Russ were solid, PG couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and Melo was slightly in between.

I'd argue they blew this game down things stretch, it's just the spurs were down to Brandon Paul so they couldn't capitalize on it. This isn't quite beating a D-league team in the final seconds, but it's pretty close. Spurs 5 leaders in minutes were
Dajounte Murray
Brandon Paul
Bryn Forbes
Davis Bertans
Joffrey Lauvergne

I’m sorry that not everyone agrees with your opinion. If you can’t handle that then maybe a message board isn’t the place for you.
