Actually there was no post game. It was all that skinny Grant and corpse of Nick Collison out there. Please change the thread title.

As much as I want to be critical, it must be admitted that a) second games of a back 2 back are never good news for a team and b) this was after 3OT; a delayed plane; and a car in front of the team bus that hit a pedestrian...I dunno. They were missing KP, we were missing Adams, which might not seem equal but considering how surprisingly impactful Adams is to the team...
I just wish we lost playing better basketball. We lost because we were tired but also because we just played a tired version of the same offensive crap we normally play.

Of course I expected to win this. 3OT or not, the Knicks were without their 2 best players. Imagine us playing last season with both Russ and Dipo out. You'd have expected us to win against a good team because the other team came off a back to back?
Enough with the **** excuses. This was the same bad and uninspired play we've seen for weeks. We could have had two days of rest and the result might have been exactly the same.

Just blow it up. Trade all of the Big 3 for whatever we can get, fire our worthless, piece of crap coach, and start the rebuild now.

Yeah that's the spirit!
We're again in the race for lottery with this loss btw.

Porzingis and hardaway don't have half the combined impact of Russ alone last year, and the knicks actually get competent play from a lot of role players. Completely different scenarios. This isn't a game worth being upset over.

At least Darnell not making excuses for all this bs like Royce.

Be honest. Should a win have been expected coming off 3 OT in Philly and no Steven Adams? Our big man rotation tonight was a tragedy with the exception of 2Pat.
On a positive note: Russ had a normal game for himself. Normal compared to previous seasons, not the current one.
Patterson is consistently contributing. That's great to see.
New York was going to be fired up tonight even without KP. I just hope Steven isn't in protocol for very long. I consider winning any of the upcoming games a dubious proposition if he is unavailable.
At least the Philly game was a win. Winning that game was far more important than this Knicks game. Nationally televised, all the hype, and the fact that it went three overtimes would have made it a really tough loss. This game won't mean anything for the Knicks or OKC in as little as a week.
Time for Denver I guess.

Unnecessary loss, but it was the second game of a back-to-back after an exhausting game yesterday.
We definitely need a real backup-center.
Positive note is, that Patterson has shown that he can be a valuable contributor to this team. I would really like to see him with our starters in place of Melo, I don't think he would weaken the offense and he would strenghten the defense even more.

I think some people need to adjust their expectations at this point.

Yes, it is because our play has been the same over the last couple of weeks: Bad. Our offense is pathetic. And this game was just more of the same in that regard.

You guys just came off a 3 OT game, with no Adams and played on tired legs. Knicks played on pure emotion and got super lucky tonight. I hope you guys put things together fast and go on a huge run. Your fan base is FANTASTIC and I love to see you guys knock off the Warriors in the playoffs. You guys have too much talent not to put things together, can not wait to see what you guys do after the All Star break.

If our recent play is now considered 'normal', then we should blow it up because we'll be below 500 by the end of the season.

Then be Pissed about the last couple of weeks, but give it a rest acting like tonight meant something. Expecting a well played game tonight was just stupid. We aren't a good team anyway, and even if we were the players are actually real people. They played an exhausting game last night, had travel delays, and were without their most consistent piece and only legitimate center. You'd have to be in major denial about what this team is or extremely naive to expect a different outcome.

Expecting to make the playoffs is about all the expectations anyone should have. Winning playoff games is likely going to be asking too much just like last year.

We're under .500 right now. Our recent play is certainly our current normal. Expecting that to change without actually changing anything is just blind hope.

It's still possible the situation is salvageable to the tune of a second round exit, but not until there is at least one major shake up. As long as the lineup, coaching, and roster all stay the same it is foolish to expect different results.
