We beat up on a Jazz team missing their two best players...But considering some of the teams we've lost to, I'll take it as some kind of improvement.
Hopefully MVP Russ is back for. good.
And Melo has had an interesting 3 out of his last 4 games. He chucked too much in an attempt to beat his former team, but lately he does seem a bit more restrained. And seems to be doing a great job of leading out on the court, saying the level headed things that are a bit beyond Russ.

If Russ will shoot as many 3s as he did tonight on a regular basis the team will be much better.

A win is a win
When was the last time this team was over .500?

Very impressed by our defense (especially Russ and Melo were contributing, which was nice).
Utah was missing important players and it showed, but it was a good game and every win counts.

If I checked correctly on 31st October Okc won against the Bucks which resulted in a 4-3 record (which was in place until the loss against Boston on 3rd of November).

Westbrook has really picked up in all facets of the game recently and it's showing in how we're playing. I'm impressed.
Also nice to see consistent ball movement for 4 quarters of basketball. If they can keep building on this, we might still see something special this season.

I hope this isn't a fluke, but regardless we still need to fix our trash bench.
I'm glad to see that Patterson is getting more minutes and hopefully he inches closer to his career averages offensively. Huestis/Abrines will be a problem for the foreseeable future unless Presti can once again weave magic and get Lou Williams for nothing. In the meantime we should stagger Husetis/Abrines minutes with Anthony. Play Ferguson some more minutes if possible.
Should also play Dakari Johnson WAY more, he's been among our most productive bench players even in restricted minutes. Get it done, Donovan (but probably not).

Of course I was too busy at work to watch tonight.
Only complaint: Donovan plays Ferguson 6 minutes in a blowout but 20 in close games?

I hope they didn't play the music too loud in the locker room.

Yeah Ferguson could have played the entire last quarter. It's more valuable to give him minutes at this point than Huestis. Feels like we're not so good at dealing with playing rookies while having a tilt at the playoffs. We've been weird with Dakari too, letting him start when Adams is out but when Adams is playing he gets relegated to junk time minutes.

Yeah, without their two best players, the Jazz tonight were on par with the Porzingis-less Knicks and the Nets and we lost to both of those teams the last couple of weeks.

A loss to the Celtics in which we had an 20is point lead at the half (I think it was 18).
Wonder how our season would've played out thus far if we hadn't blown that lead to the Celtics and were sitting at 5-3 eight games into the season.

That's crazy
Hopefully it's a situation where the West stayed stagnant and stumbled enough to let OKC find their style
Great game and fun to watch. Played great defense in the first and they actually played with pace in the open court, and moved the ball creating good shots in half court. Has Billy finally gotten to them?
I think that Westbrook playing better is responsible for this little hot streak. With the Thunder's style of play (AKA, ball in Westbrook's hands) they're going to go as he does. Primarily PG and Melo are the 3pt shooting for the offense with 3 none shooters in the starting lineup, and that's not been their traditional roles or strengths. Well Russell CURRENTLY is playing like an MVP. Nice to see

They actually played well and better compared to previous outings. That you still don't understand the difference is baffling.
