i want to see alex abrines get another shot in bench units. but without paul george in them. with dre. felton-abrines-dre-grant-patterson. flex dre out there. felton is quite good at finding shooters out of the pnr with patterson. ferguson, huestis, and grant on the perimeter won't make them. i think we need a shooter out there and abrines is the only one. roberson can keep the ball moving at least.
Nets fan here. Good game yall, I respect the hell out of your team. westbrook, george, adams, and anthony all top class players in my book and gave our young boys much needed experience. wish we could have won, the better and more experienced team did this time.
good luck in the playoffs, and good health. we'll see you guys next year, you better be ready.
Brooklyn is such a tough team to play against. They are so much like that Hawks its insane. 3 pt shooting out the wazoo and they play very disciplined. Kenny Atkinson earns his paycheck.
I swore that Dinwiddie shot went in on the broadcast camera angle. Anyone who feels this team isn't worlds better than it was earlier in the season is oblivious at this point. This type of game was the perfect blowout loss earlier in the season. There is some progress being made without question.

Bro, I thought the same thing! It looked like Dinwiddie splashed it off the back of the inside of the rim and straight down through the net. I didn’t know whether to celebrate or mourn.

The thunder or the nets?
Thunder. Brooklyn shot 38 3s and made 16. OKC shot 25 3s and made 7. There was no big FT disparity with OKC shooting 32 FTs and BKN shooting 25. BKN also shot a better FT percentage. This had all the markings to be a loss.
They are figuring out how to win games that they probably shouldn't where before they had to play almost perfectly just to overcome deficits and even then it wouldn't be enough a portion of the time.
Robes free throws, Melo tip in, Adams missing a bunch of putbacks, PG blowing a fast break layup followed by Russ blowing that putback of that layup, while Brooklyn was just throwing up anything in the first half and watching it go in.
It was a bad mix. For this one at least I'm just glad we got the win.
But we were thoroughly out played for the vast majority of that game, on our home floor, by a team with VASTLY inferior talent. We had to outscore them by 12 in the fourth just to eek out a one point win. How that is "one of our best wins of the season" is beyond me. It's yet another win in a long line of truly unsatisfying wins this season.
On the other side, I'd actually be enjoying this season if I were a Nets fan after I accepted that "my team" was probably in for yet another long season of a lot of losses. However, you look at their roster and it's nothing short of a miracle that they've managed to win 18 games already. They're on 31-32 win pace. That's remarkable given their current roster. And they damn near just went 2-0 this season against an eventual Western Conference playoff team in two games which they outplayed said team in 6 of 8 quarters in those two games.
