Just give player of the game to the entire bench. They scored 48 points on 18/30 shooting. Melo and Russ sucked which is why we struggled so badly at home against an awful, tanking Magic team, but the bench showed up for once and we eked out a singe-digit win over the hapless Magic...at home.

Russ has to be injured. He hasn't been the same for a while. I wonder how long those knees can hold up.

westbrook's having his worst season since 2013. paul george drama aside, westbrook's disappointing season a year before his $200mm extension kicks in is worrisome. blame it on what you want, we're 61 games in and he's still not looking right. since andre roberson got injured, not only is westbrook failing to pick up any defensive slack, he's been poor on offense too.

Even when two tanking teams meet, one of them has to come away a winner.

While Davis carries his Pelicans to 6w straight without Cousins next to him, Russ keeps falling off that cliff since Roberson went down.

22/10/12 on 39.5 % from the floor over his last 11. He's back to taking 3s (4.5 per game on 18 % shooting) and isn't even attacking the rim regularly as of late (only 3.6 FGA in the restricted area over the last 5; on the season he's at 8.1 per game). 48.8 TS%/105 ORtG.

He's currently on a 5 game long streak with more rebounds than field goals. He's also recorded more turnovers than field goals over the last 5.

He scored 25 or more only 2x since Roberson went down (11 games).

important win considering how melo and russ sucked in this game. just checked the box score and saw russ 7 turnovers. I was surprised by this number. felt like 20. bench, adams and george were enough fortunately.

This team is far too often more frustrating than fun to watch. They trail much of the night against a terrible team that should be tanking. You just want to pull your hair out at times. And its been this way ALL SEASON LONG.

Watching last night I finally just admitted it to myself, I had more fun watching the team last year. That horrible roster with Semaj playing significant minutes off the bench. At least Westbrook was going Super Nova and we had the triple doubles to watch. This year its just one underachieving **** show after another.

Christon is still here. He's just inhabiting a different vessel this season:

I keep looking for a silver lining like getting to keep our pick or watching Ferguson get better. There just hasn’t been much to enjoy other than a couple of warrior victories that create false expectations.

He's clearly been playing hurt since right before the break. He's barely driving, won't face up or shoot his pull up, or really any shot that isn't wide open. He's getting swatted on drives. Get your lumps in while you can, I guess

You guys all season: they can't beat bad teams!!

They start to beat bad teams: They stink, Westbrook sucks, they weren't winning the whole game, should've won by morrreeee!! God, I can see why some of you don't enjoy watching them. You hate them. Seriously, warriors and rockets are accepting fans. Only situations that are better. Otherwise what the hell are you complaining about?

He's playing like trash, period. Unless he magically gets hurt for two months, then plays (very well) for 6-8 weeks and then gets hurt again without anybody knowing about it, I'd reckon it has something to do with how we play and that the lack of an offensive system is especially bad when nobody is doing the dirty work a 4 normally does. Roberson started doing that and suddenly Russ was 'back'. Now we're back to Adams being the only guy who could free somebody up and teams have been loading up on Russ again with George trying to get free and Huesti and Melo just standing around.

Conversely you tout that they show up in big games and now that they have lost to the Warriors and Cavs, that argument is dying.

He's not driving in transition, and is passing almost every time he's in the lane, to adams. He doesn't do that when he's healthy. People knew about it, he sat games before the break and hasn't been able to elevate since coming back. Do you even look at the stats you post? His fgas are way down in the lane (from 8 to 3!) Over the last 11, and he's shooting more 3s out of necessity, because he can't finish inside these last few. When he's right he finishes/attacks the rim all game. He goes through stretches like this, for games at a time. Have you not followed his career?

'They start to beat bad teams'

This is us vs bad teams recently:

vs MEM: +18
@ MEM: +7
@ SAC: +3
vs ORL: +7

These three teams currently combine for a total of 54 wins. They are deliberately trying to lose games. Barely escaping 3x vs horrible teams is not 'Starting to beat bad teams'. It's embarassing for a franchise that told everybody that it was a contender.
