Thank goodness for Russ and Adams. Our other three starters, which includes two perennial all-stars, one of whom is in his prime, shot a combined 6/29 (20.6%) for 22 points. And, our bench scored 30 points which, for a normal, league average bench, is the equivalent of a 45+ point bench outburst.
Stick a fork in PG. Wont be that upset when he leaves. Dude just doesnt turn up and it seems to be far too often. The thinder should thank their lucky stars Adams has made the jump this year. Most consistent player on the team and its not even close

Yeah, he started to get some flak after LeBron left and never got enough credit (if any credit at all) when the Heatles won their championships. He's proven this year, though, that he's a VERY good NBA coach. He's certainly in a completely different zip code than our joke of a head coach.
Pretty amazing win considering Brewer, PG and Carmelo combined to go 6-29. Adams continues to improve and in a league that seems blindly insistent on increasing 3 point shooting volume it's nice to see that "old school" basketball of getting the ball to a big man with scoring ability still holds value. I would argue that if Adams averaged the 2nd most shot attempts on the team that they would have won 8-10 more games this year. He is ridiculously underutilized. We can only hope that in the playoffs they consistently look for him throughout the entire game. Felton was huge in this one as well with 10 points in limited minutes and they needed all of them. So much more enjoyable to watch this team now with their new starter.

A guy like him is someone we would have to trade future assets for and we just don’t have any.
Not like Presti hasn’t pulled a Houdini before
Yes and no. The George trade was initially viewed as such but the reality is that trade was very balanced. The heat are an odd team because they have a good roster but no real stars. I’m not really sure the direction they want to go. Ideally, I think they want to add a star through free agency but I’m not sure they’ll be able to right now. They don’t really seem to be going for a rebuild either. I’m sure he’s attainable, but for what? I also don’t see the thunder wanting to move Ferguson right now.

Oladipo had a massive jump in production that was not forecasted by anyone.
It’s just “yes”.
MIA prob won’t move him b/c him and Bam represent the future for this team. But if they would, Presti might be able to make it happen. I wouldn’t count him out of anything.
Another name on the same contract that I’ve played around with on trade machine who should come much cheaper -Norman Powell. Not sure what happened to him (trying to live up to the contract, lost confidence), but playing alongside Russ and PG and Adams might get him right. A nice buy low candidate IMO

Yes he made a massive jump but he was still already one of the better shooting guards in the nba last year when you factor in his defensive impact. Plus Sabonis was a lottery pick. We currently don’t have those kinds of assets. Roberson, abrines, singler, Patterson and co aren’t on that level.
Edit: we could definitely get powell but he’s been bad. Someone that struggles on a team that shares the basketball isn’t likely to be better playing for billy dononvan’s “system”.

But Richardson isn’t an all NBA talent either. So the price tag would be smaller. I agree the cupboard is bare but I’m just stating that I don’t count Presti out of anything.
Smaller role with smaller expectations might rebuild some much needed confidence.

Regarding Powell, he seemed to play better when Toronto wasn't sharing the ball. Some guys need a system and some can't play within the confines of one. Tyreke is a guy who comes to mind that would be better in a 'get buckets' capacity, Powell may be that same type of player.

I’m not against taking a chance on Powell but I wouldn’t give up much to get him. As far as his decline this year, I’m not sure if it’s due to a different style of play or not seeking a payday.
