So if UTA wins, it’s 3-6 with HCA, but if they lose it’s 4-5 with OKC HCA?

yes
So if we get HCA, every win mattered?

jazz getting pancaked at half time. surprising. hca in the 1st round would be fantastic all things considered. maybe win a series.

Jazz and Donovan Mitchell's game is too tiring for an old team like us. We may proceed but it will cost us some legs surely.

Truth be told. Home court vs the Jazz should be considered the best possible first round matchup for maybe any team in the West.
When you have 2+ days rest and practice time from here on out. Full preparation and film vs a single team... that is very good, but didn't have anyone that SHOULD take over a series.
If OKC brings their defense, this should be over in 5.
The adjustments made for this series will be very telling. If things go wrong, it's only because of coaching or that "I"word.

The Jazz are one of the hottest teams in the league. 29-6 over their last 35. It will be an extremely difficult series for the Thunder to win. The Jazz can hit 3's like crazy. Can the Thunder properly defend that? Can Adams score against Gobert? Hope so, but it will be tough. Even with going 0-4 against Portland, I would have felt much better playing them or the Pelicans.

The huge thing in this series is if we outmatch them at the 4 spot with Jerami, forcing their hand and attacking Favours as much as possible.
I even think Melo could be a mismatch problem with him, but dont think he can deal with Favours on defensive end.
Cant see Rubio continue shooting like he did in regular season, when things tighten up a bit now, and really, Ingles should just be scouted well, i watched him a lot in Euroleague, and when he operates in tight spaces, he is not that good.
Let Mitchell handle the ball as much as he can and eventually, they well play themselves out due to inexperience.
We should just stay patient in this series, due to that, Thunder in 6.

I'd guess if we win it's either a five or seven game series, I don't think we'll close them out in SLC.

I can't believe we actually got home court advantage in the first round. Crazy.

-Mentions that Utah forces mid-range shots which might not hurt us as much because we're taking a bunch of them anyway; also argues that that could force Gobert to relinquish the paint a little bit more which could give Adams more space
-Says OKC will have to try to stay afloat when Russ is on the bench
-Mentions that Adams could do some damage on the offensive boards if Gobert is forced to step out and challenge
-Theorizes that George's offensive struggles may have something to do with having to do more on defense
-Says that Grant could have a huge role, especially if Anthony struggles defensively
