Had wondered about this. Probably for the best just so no one is under any illusions about these guys. Past pressers with people like Jerret and Huestis present were painful in retrospect.

It more exciting when you have actual good, young prospects.

Summer League is more or less a networking event.

I look forward to Smitty's behind the scenes than any of the basketball.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Yep. And I kind of like seeing some of the prospects. Just seeing basketball is nice.

I actually love summer league. In a way not dissimilar to how I love the Olympics. I don't watch it like I watch most sports it's more of a spectacle or an event of sorts almost like reality TV. Also there's nothing else on in the summer so what else are you going to do?

Also, this should go without saying, but they wouldn't be expanding at it if people weren't watching.

I'm not sure, although it would almost certainly be a great NBA city (move the Thunder there, no more bull about free agents not wanting to go there).

RE: Summers league, one thing I was thinking is that this is sort of a byproduct of this era for the league. So many teams are on the tanking treadmill and especially with the Warriors dominance where the season is over before it has began, Summer league is a chance for people to watch their team and just be free of that for a bit. Also, with so much attention to tanking comes the attendant interest in the players you tanked for, and people always want to see those guys. I can't wait to see Luka for instance.

It's been confirmed that Doncic will not participate. Too much basketball in the last year, kid needs rest.

Hoping to see a lot of point Ferguson, preferably successfully.
