2018-19 nba season prediction thread

I thought it would be a good idea to have a thrrad where people could make their predictions for this year. This thread is for predictions for all things nba. It includes but is not limited to OKC thunder predictions, eastern and western conference standings, mvp, ROTY, etc. I’m not ready to make my full standings prediction yet until the Butler trade happens.
As of right now I’m going to predict that IF Boston can be healthy in the playoffs, they’ll beat golden state.

I can't see the Warriors losing but I'm also lower on Boston than a lot of people. I think Toronto is the best in the east with Kawhi if Nurse is a solid enough coach (Casey was fine but the playoff decisions were baffling).
I don't know for ROY because I think Doncic was the clear best prospect but the ROY is usually a guy who puts up great counting stats and I don't think he's that type of player. For that reason I'd say maybe Ayton or Knox even.
MVP I think is AD this year, I'm a little higher on NOLA without Cousins and with Randle/Mirotic and think it's his year.
Other than that conference predictions:
I'll edit these post Butler trade but all I'll do for now is I know Minnesota's dropped from the playoffs.
East:
1. Boston
2. Toronto (think they take some time to mesh and Boston plays close to last year's win total while they drop a few early)
3. Philly
4. Milwaukee
5. Washington
6. Miami
7. Indiana (think they step back a little)
8. Charlotte
West:
1. Golden State
2. Houston
3. Utah
4. NOLA
5. OKC (depending on Russ, but I think he's fine)
6. Portland
7. Denver
8. LA Lakers (I want to take Denver but won't bet totally against Lebron)
Edit: Just swapped Denver for the Spurs. No Murray is a big issue, and they don't have any really great options at PG.
Edit again: No Russ for now, swapped NOLA and OKC.

I haven't thought about win totals yet, but I've had my standings hottake ready for weeks now: Both Lakers and Spurs are going to miss the Playoffs.

No that was just a mistake. I agree. Depending on injuries, Denver could finish above okc.

Only prediction I'll make is that we finish ahead of Utah and go further in the playoffs than Utah. I'm just not sold on them.

i don't want to bet against lebron, and i don't want to bet against the liberal elites not fixing a spot in for demagogue popovich. but this seems like the spurs' time with the injuries.
similar to last year, i expect seeds 3 through 8 to be within a few games of one another in the west. i'm not making much of the jimmy butler nonsense until he's actually traded.
this is denver's year.
