This is a weird thing to say to about a veteran. "Get in the gym and shoot." Patterson is probably like, how about you get in the film room and figure out what the hell you're doing while we're remediating people.

that's a dumb thing to say. patterson will make open shots at about the same clip over the long run.

Abrines only played 5 minutes and was a plus 5. Of everyone else the only non negative was Diallo and he was just a 0.

2-9 or 3-8 is very possible.

Ferguson couldn't make that crossover dribble move that Burton got to the rim with in his wildest dreams. If Diallo could handle like that he'd have been a late lotto pick.

The pressure should be on them. Patterson has missed a ton of wide open 3s and the season is young. Ferguson too. I’d rather him address the problem now.

I don't think 75% of the league could make that crossover, it was legit.

What does address the problem mean? Especially with Patterson we know what he is, his percentages will even out. 'get in the gym and shoot' is a pointless statement.

Patterson had taken a total of 5 open or wide open 3s in the first two games and shot 40 percent.

It was awesome. I'm still surprised to see a two way guy actually get non garbage time minutes but Burton has some nice moments. Can understand the Thunder giving him that deal.

It started last year, but I don't understand how a player can just all of a sudden regress so badly as a FT shooter this far into their carer.

It's kinda rare but it does happen. Igoudala shot above 70% from FT line his first 7 years in the league and became a terrible FT shooter afterwards and hasn't shot above 70% from the line in the 7 years since.

He's always been doing that when the team's shortcomings have become too obvious. But to be fair, what can you really ask of a coach that has been carried by individual talent each and every damn season? When your whole coaching philosophy is that the players are going to make things work by themselves and that - for whatever reason - stops working, the only move you have is blame it on the players, because in the end, your coaching doesn't really matter.
