Say what you will on court but he was one of the best teammates this franchise had.

That's a cop out. You don't win a title with 20 million wasting away on your bench because all this fool cares about is offense and acting like a little kid on social media.

He's not a prick, he's a good guy. Overpaid, but that's not his fault. Blame Olshey or Presti for that.

You do realize we nearly won a championship with him. Blame KD for bailing. I understand he lacks in the defensive department, but the guy was nothing but a class act here.

 He lliterally played less minutes than Channing freaking Frye in the Conference Finals. When the team needed him the most, he was unplayable.

Again: That's not the point.

Oh and btw: I don't see any praise for Melo like that. Mhhh.

Why would Melo receive that much praise? He was here for 1 season and refused to come off of the bench. Kanter stood up for Oklahoma City, and he was an excellent teammate.

You're way over yourself in false arguments.
If it wasnt for the twin towers against SAS, we wouldnt even be in a place to compete against best team ever.

So even tho he was a complete defensive liability, he was a complete mismatch for one of the alltime great coaches.

The Thunder is set to celebrate Native American Heritage Month, beginning Wednesday, when OKC takes on the Knicks at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The team will host pregame festivities and debut this season’s City Edition uniforms, which are an homage to local Native American culture.

Enes is overpaid and is a very bad defender but he played REALLY well and was a key factor for us to beat a 67 wins Spurs team in the playoffs (maybe the only time he was really valuable on the court for this time).

Anyway the Thunder offered him an huge contract that everybody would have accept :he's not the one to blame. He always accepted his role, never complained by being benched during most part of the games and always supported our team and players. He's a class act indeed and I would love to have him back on a (very) low contract.

portland signed him to the offer sheet with the trade kicker and we were forced to match b/c sam presti falls for the sunk cost fallacy every time. portland was the last team with cap space that could have done this to us-- i often wonder what would have happened with kanter had he not signed an offer sheet with portland. i think it's clear sam did not want him at that number if he could have helped it.

as for kanter's value, he's giving up so many points in today's nba especially that he's essentially worthless. the thunder got lucky that gregg popovich felt like playing duncan so much those playoffs because the spurs were the only team he could play against. otherwise he was a liability as we all know.

not worth a roster spot on a winning team unless it's in a limited bench role somewhere. preferably not here.

I don't understand any ill will toward Kanter. He literally didn't do anything wrong.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I don't think it is ill will not to want Aldrich, err, Kanter back in OKC in a significant role. It is wanting them to have good players.

The problem with Enes was his contract, but he was exemplary in every other area from what I understand. As a teammate/ locker room presence/ community outreach guy.. you name it. If he was on the team for what we are currently paying Patterson, I don't think people would have been so eager for him to be gone.

Always fun to check out the Knicks game threads. Most entertaining game threads on RGM.
