Good article on his defensive impact. What do folks think of him?

Better than I'd expected but still wouldn't want him as a starter if I'm another team. He's a good backup who's been better than past years on defense. Still not "good" but better.

he's trying, which is more than he has done most of his career in atlanta, so i guess there's that. but next to westbrook he has to defend someone who is too big for him or forces westbrook into defending off the ball-- either way a potential catastrophe.

he's more or less been what i expected him to be so far.

If he continues with the defensive effort and hitting 36% from three, that’s about as much as anyone could expect.

I think he’s a great backup, but just ok as a starter. I think he’s slightly overpaid (wish it was closer to 10-12 million).

I also think he’s played himself into the “I can see OKC keeping him for the duration of his contract” in my mind

I am pretty thrilled with his play so far, but he replaced Carmelo Anthony so that's a low bar to clear. Still, I think his attitude, effort and pace has been exactly right.
