Utah will be on the second game of a back to back. That cant hurt.

: PTSD from previous postseason triggers:

Ugh... on the road in Utah. Joe Ingles. Rubio turning into Pete Maravich.
Please don't let this happen. Just win please

They just beat GSW and murdered Portland. Don't feel great for any of the next 3. Maybe Minnesota.

Same. Don't feel good about tonight's game. 1-2 was my first bet for the next 3 games but since CP3 is out I think 2-1 would be good (not that I would be surprised if we still lose against Houston)

This game scares me a little but I think Okc will pull it out and go 4 and 0.I really wanted to say 6 and 0 but the Mavs games back to back has me a little nervous.

Would be a great win against a very hot Utah Jazz team.

But at least they are on a back-to-back, therefore I (hopefully) give us a 50-50 chance.

(Realisitc) worst case scenario: We lose, but at least we will see what a potential playoff-opponent sees as our weakness.
I think Utah will play a lot of two-big man lineups and tries to bait Schröder into driving (into Gobert) and the better three-point shooting team (ugh, Patterson versus Korver and Jingles, with Rubio as a wild card) will probably win.

Until this year I’ve never realized that Rudy Gobert is so quick tempered.

I don't know if he really is, e.g. the game where he was ejected, it looked a bit forced/unnatural.

I'm a bit disappointed by his play. He is a phenomenal (maybe the best in the league) defender and a very good lob target.
But outside of that, his pick setting, offensive decision making and especially his (offensive) rebounding look a bit sloppy. For as soft as his hands are (and his very good free-throw shooting) I think he could be even better.
But instead of developing his game more he seems more interested in his antics.

But I am probably overcritical.

And they are still favored by 1.5 points. Weird.

gobert and mitchell were both in foul trouble against us and the jazz missed tons of wide open threes. korver alone missed 5 open threes.

this is going to be a tough one. thinking an L.

Obviously a Win would be huge, but a loss won’t shock me at all.

I'm not expecting a win tonight. And not just because we're already down 17-11. Game is in Utah, they're playing well their last few games, and from what I've seen they came out ready and engaged and we didn't.

Also, on that last bucket by the Jazz, that was 100% an offensive foul on Gobert. He definitely cleared out Adams with a "boxout" as Favors drove. Adams probably could've done a better job fighting around it, but it was 100% an offensive foul and the Refs just ignored it. Plain as day, too. They had forever to watch it unfold.

We are looking pretty sluggish in our defensive rotations. Not pretty. I imagine we will pick it up in 2nd quarter.

Grant’s touch on his jumper has gotten better.

Utah just tried to throw a lob to Crowder posting up Schroder. Schroder jumps up, deflects the pass, and it goes right into the basket for two points for the Jazz.

Awesome.

“The only question is, was that a three on the lob that was tipped?” Really? If it was tipped then it’s obviously not a three. Two plays have been missed with the broadcast showing replays and not getting back to the action. Broadcast team off to a rough start.

At this point, I'm not sure what the point is of ever playing Abrines anymore. His shot has completely disappeared and he's never been able to defend anyone.
