No reason we shouldn't win this game. Minny just isn't very good.

That's exactly why I'm not 100% confident (even more after a tough game the day before)

One reason that comes to mind is this game being a back-to-back game, after a very tough game yesterday, in which our starters played a lot of minutes.

I hope for a bounce back game from Westbrook, Minnesota not having good guard defenders (and no good rim protection) should definitely help.

I think I’d rest Adams in this game and let Noel/Grant handle the 5 spot. Or at the very least, play Adams with limited minutes.

Given Minnesota’s stable of bigs, I think we could handle it.

You disagree?

I think Noel can be effective enough on KAT and Patterson should be able to guard Gibson well enough. Grant can handle Gibson as a small ball 5 too.

That’s fair. I’m not confident in that assessment but I thought I’d share. I’d like to see how Noel stacks up against a softer 5 like KAT. And I’d like to see how Patterson/Grant handles Gibson.

This isn’t nba 2k. There is no need to set a healthy 25 year old starter who is playing great. Like last year, final seeding might not be determined until the final game of the season. It would be careless and irresponsible to try something like that unless Adams is beat up. Billy can give Noel a few minutes against KAT if he wants but the goal of every game should be to win and not to do random experimenting,

Lol, yeah I'm not sure why we'd be sitting a 25 year old center that doesn't have any injury issues. Especially a game with KAT on it. That would be asking to throw the game.

Russ might crack double digit points today.

Man some of these misses by Russ. The last layup attempt didn't look like it had any chance on going in.

Russ aiballed a finger roll that went under the rim.

he got three inches off the ground. he can't beat anyone off the dribble. his defender sticks to his hip. help defense knows exactly where he's going because he doesn't want to shoot jump shots. russ was always sort of predictable but now teams are just easing off him not worried about the penetration and positioning their bigs to contest. they're living with the occasional miracle pass to adams or the corners.

Adams always gives KAT way too much room at the three point line.

ferguson is exposed on defense without our other good defenders in the game.
