The numbers say Diallo is better than Furgeson Right NOW - Is He?

I'm talking about right now - Personbally I think Furgeson is better, but the numbers seem to say otherwise. Diallo has more WS/48, higher PER, better fg%, better Ortg and Drtg (how?)

His per 36 and per 100 numbers are better across the board. The only number I could find where Furgeson is outperforming Diallo is BPM and that's attributable to Diallo playing with the bench.

Yet, the eye test tells me that the team is better with Fergeson than Diallo - mainly because defensively is inconsistent and Fergeson seems to be a lock down defender. So the fact that Diallo has a better Drtg and nearly identical Dws is really odd too me.

Is Furgeson actually better than Diallo RIGHT NOW? And if he is, why are Diallo's numbers better across the board?

didn't i already tell you bpm doesn't care who you play with. there is no play-by-play component.

individual drtg on basketball-reference is the same.

why do you keep spelling ferguson wrong.

what does 'personbally' mean?

so many questions.

the thunder defense is really great. the starters defense specifically. ferguson plays with the starters. when ferguson doesn't play with the starters, it's a lot worse. that's why people think ferguson is better than diallo. oh and he can make threes, kind of.

win shares are derived directly from individual ortg and drtg on basketball-reference. individual drtg on basketball-reference is basically how many blocks and steals and defensive rebounds you get and how good your team is at defense. believe it or not, diallo gets as much credit for our excellent defense with ferguson in the game as ferguson does, according to drtg (relative to their possessions / minutes played). and whatever drtg says, win shares is going to say.

so my answer to you is that ferguson is probably better than diallo because there's been an apparent effect produced by ferguson with the starters that makes the defense better than alternatives which diallo has not been able to produce in any lineup. in fact, i believe bench lineups with him are a lot worse than without him.

TFerg is far better and will be far more useful come playoff time. This shouldnt be a question that people need to ask. At the moment anyway

As far as just our bench goes, where would you rate Diallo? Who do you have ahead of him there?

Tairants Phurguessun is better but Diallo has shown more his first year than Phurguessun did so that gives me hope for both.

I mean, come on, is there a reason why you intentionally spell Fergusons name wrong?

I was higher on Diallo but maybe I was wrong since Ferguson improved so much on defense (and offense from last games)

Still not sure he will be confident enough comes playoff time.

Ferguson has been playing some lights out ball. Diallo has found the rookie wall. Hopefully he can hop over if and get back on track to give us some good minutes if needed.

Yeah this thread really isn't topical anymore. Tferg has turned in to a young jimmy Butler while Diallo cant hit shots or defend anybody.
