This is pretty much a must win, and I don't see us winning it.

We're so going to win this.

They've won the last four matchups. I think so much of guarding denver depends on Russ/Ferg's ability to get over screens to keep Steven in the paint and not force any hard help away from shooters. Don't think we get this one but it's an important game nonetheless

Must win to have a shot at the 2nd seed (or we are going to fight like hell with Portland for the 3rd)

Don't feel confident at all.

From what I've seen Denver runs alot of their offense through jokic and milsap, with jokic at the foul line area. They are less reliant on the high screen, shoot lots of transition 3s, which all of their guys can do.Hopefully adams can move his $100 million feet tonight and contest jokic in the high post. His performance has been unacceptable for a guy making what he does. Glad people seem to be coming around to it. He's not some young, good story any more. Paid like a star, is average at his position at best, in part bc his body can't handle an 82 game season. Not sure how important it will be to keep him in the paint, he's not a good rim protecter.

Huge game but i am not optimistic. We just can't defend their outside shooting...

Yeah should be alot of points both ways. Nobody can stop their shooting, but they also won't be able to guard okc.

I think OKC wins this one and I really think we will start to see the difference of upgrading from Patterson to Morris manifest itself in this game. It's not very often this late into a season that you see an upgrade like that, especially on one of the better teams in the league like OKC and while it really hasn't shown itself yet because he's only played a couple of games I think it will tonight. Worried about Adams though as he clearly isn't moving as well as he should be so he's not healthy. They're going to need him against Jokic.

A lot of talk about Adams but we need MVPG tonight. 3 straight games that he hasn't play THAT well (even if he had a monster game winner against Utah) meanwhile Russ is finally starting to feel it (a bit worried about how he will defend on Murray though)

We'll probably fall behind by 20+ in the 1st half, make a push in the 2nd half, and ultimately lose a game that wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicated.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Pretty much...I'm betting on a nice first 10 minutes of play followed by our bench being destroyed and our starters to suck in the 2nd quarter in order to get back in the game.

Books giving us a 40% chance of winning this game. That's generous. Would bet against the Thunder if I wasn't rooting for them :)

Adams is one of the worst rim protectors / help defenders in the paint I've ever seen, for the money he is paid

Agreed, he's extremely slow off his feet and laterally, and with more and more teams running 5 out, or at least not featuring a back to the basket post guy alot, or using high pick and roll with bigs who can shoot, his skillset is not ideal. I think his arms look short for his size, guards have minimal problems going by him for layups, as he rarely is fast enough to make up ground. He's gotta be better in all aspects aside from offensive rebounding. No more ignoring his faults considering what he's paid. He needs to be better.

Nah, he has a large wingspan probably 7'6" or something..
He is always slow to rotate on dribble penetration if he is guarding a big near the basket, and typically gives a half-hearted shot contest or stands and watches the finish at the rim with guys who are much smaller than him
