Burton shouldnt start, but he should be getting 20 minutes a game - from Nader mostly, but some from Schroder and Ferg. He's an insne combo of power, defense, shot making from anywhere on the floor and court vision and passing. Like I said in the other thread, it's like we drafted Zion and put him in the dog house. He could easily put up 10/5/3 while playing great defense from 1-5.

Somebody needs to alert the authorities. Mass delusions like this are dangerous.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

Whoa you dont think Deonte Burton is a combination of Zion Williamson and Steph Curry? How dare you. If anything it's hyperbolic in the other direction. Burton is the best nba player to grace God's great earth and the Oklahoma City Thunder should be forced to fold their franchise for not utilizing his wholly unique talents is a better fashion.

At this point Paul George's recent struggles are the only thing standing in the way of OKC having a roster of 3 MVPs.

No question that if he had his own team Burton could put up 20/7/4 with DPOY level defense - the only question would be whether he has the stamina to play 35 minutes a game, 82 games a year. We dont need that from him though. We need him for 20 minutes a game playing solid D, knocking down shots and making plays. He's being robbed of his talents by Donovan sitting him game after game.

Butler was an all-star by the time he was Burton's age. You do realize that Burton, a complete scrub by NBA standards, is older than veterans Noel and Grant. Burton is the same age as Adams, Schroder and Nader. There is a reason that everyone I named has NBA experience, and most of them have it on playoff teams, while Burton was unwanted, undrafted and signed to a g-league contract then given a rookie minimum deal because it was the cheapest way to meet the CBA roster requirements. Diallo is getting screwed out of playing time that could help his development by Billy and Presti in favor of the scrubs Nader and Burton, of which Nader is the lesser scrub. When you have 3 relatively equally bad players you should go with the 20 year old that could actually have a NBA future. You let the 25 year olds rot unless you specifically have a need for another 3pt shooter then you put Nader, the best shooter of the trio, in for that purpose only. Anything else Diallo is superior at.

Hmmmmm......i think you should go with the best option on the current roster. Any of them can be replaced at any time , they are end of the rotation role players! I just think burton is the best of the bunch. The butler reference was 100% sarcasm (Ferguson could still do it!)
