Anyone?

We have 2 of the best players, but they have better overall team. They are so deep that i think even their second unit could hold it's own against our starting lineup. They are better at shooting, spacing, moving and just about every aspect of the game.

With that being said, anyone thinks we could pull this one out somehow?

Maybe if we were playing better and were somehow in the 7th or 8th spot because of injuries or something.

OKC has about a 1.75% chance in a series against Denver.

Denver has the best player, Jokic, OKC has #2/3 in PG and Russ. After that it goes Murray, Harris, Barton and Millsap in whatever order you want them in. Plumlee, Morris and Beasley off the bench is much better than anything OKC will throw out there off the bench. The best chance OKC has is if the NBA makes a rule change, effective immediately, that teams must switch coaches for a playoff series.

They definately have a chance against Denver. Depth is more valuable in the regular season. Almost everyone on Denver has never played a playoff game, let alone won a playoff series. Really hope that's the round one matchup.

I would prefer 1) Houston, 2) Denver, 3) GS

The best two players of the series would be both on the thunder. Sorry but jokic is a distant third right now. If Adam and Grant keep playing well then we have a chance. Pg also had to get back to mvp form.

A distant third? what? Jokic has been better than Westbrook this year by literally every and any metric. There's even a case for him being better than George. Saying he's a distant third is asinine.

Can OKC move up to 6th seed and see Rockets?

GSW, Denver, Houston...

All three will take care of us in short, easy order.

A distant third? what? Jokic has been better than Westbrook this year by literally every and any metric. There's even a case for him being better than George. Saying he's a distant third is asinine.

Jokic is a regular season star until proven otherwise. WB has a much higher impact when it matters than Jokic. PG is in a different tier this year.

If that were true then OKC would have a better record than Denver. You can cheer for your team without believing things that arent true. Donovan Mitchell hadn’t proven anything before the playoffs last year either.

Denver is loaded with an elite coach. OKC has a terrible coach and awful bench that would probably be winning under 40 games without WB.

Jokic is a good player, but he's not WB. Maybe he'll prove me wrong in the playoffs, but until then I cant consider him at WB's level.

OKC lost to Utah last year led by a rookie, even if Denver does not have the experience in the playoffs, they certainly are more than capable of eliminating us in a first round matchup. I like our chances better against Houston but you have to shut Harden down to have a chance or limit him rather. Nonetheless, I am not really high on the playoffs after that big collapse post All Star break and very disappointing, I expected at least 54 wins to close the season, not 47-49.

They are the favorites, but, for me, only slightly.

They have a lot of uncertainties about them. Can Jokic play heavy minutes (does he have to?)? How will they defend George? Is their young roster able to deal with the increased pressure? Are they able to impolde (e.g. start playing Thomas if they unluckily lose one of their home games)? Are we able to not play Nader if they field very small lineups? Is there some sort of acclimation to their homecourt advtange through to their height above sea-level?

They would have homecourt advantage, the deeper roster (but uncertainty if that counts as much in the playoffs), the better system and better coaching.
We have Westbrook and George (who should be able to play even more minutes).

The only thing I'll say that gives OKC a chance in any series is the fact that referees allow much more contact defensively than they do in the regular season and you have to think that these guys are at least going to try to play defense now that it really matters. It's really going to come down to the defense that OKC plays and their overall shot selection. Those two things have been abysmal since the all star break.

I'll be rooting for you guys tonight...big question for you guys is do you want to stay in the DEN bracket and possibly kick HOU over to the GSW bracket ?? or do YOU want the GSW side of things ???

Beat the Rockets. Then the Thunder face the Blazers in the first round. When the Thunder play well I think they can beat the Nuggets so be playing well by the 2nd round.

I am a Warriors fan but I decided I would prefer that the Warriors face the Rockets in the 2nd round. Less time for one of the Warriors stars to get injured.
