I have us getting McDaniels, Harris, and Azubuike (bought pick with cash) in latest mock. Don't hate it. Don't love it.

Hey guys, I just added a new feature to my site that let's you compare two prospects side by side here: https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com/compare

Probably one of the cooler tools I've added.

I also added age as a method for comparing players for per40 and advanced stats which a lot of you requested! You can also choose to add manual measurements on the site as well as pick and choose which measurements you would like to compare physical measurements for players. Also similarity scores for comparisons are on the site as well!

If you don't mind checking it out that'd be amazing!!!!

That is very nice & handy.

https://nbadraftcomp.herokuapp.com/compare/?player1=Brandon+Clarke&player2=Tyler+Bey

Brandon Clarke has a 7-5 lead by category and overall. Of course stats have different levels of importance.

Bey compared to K Faried is a better shooter / passer but with a lot less blocks.

I'd score 9-1 for BC over Okongwu.

Just finished up the latest changes on my big board (top 75). Still thinking a little about back end of second round, but overall, I'm pretty locked into this board until new info comes to light that forces my hand and/or someone can sell me on why player X should be moved up/down.

I'm currently managing OKC in a DraftTwitter mock and Maledon just fell to us at #25.

If Maledon wasn't there, it would have been between these guys:

McDaniels
Achiuwa
Oturu

— EDIT: Oturu fell all the way to 51, so I nabbed him there. Gave N'Doye some consideration but Oturu was a tier higher and I like his ceiling/median outcome a little more.

Without a move (up or down) or major slide, I think the choice should be between J Smith, T Bey, D Bane, P Reed and maybe Bolmaro.

Reasoning?

I don't trust Jalen Smith on defense. His lower body is so thin. I don't like the idea of drafting 5s who have his body type. I don't see him as a big 4.

Reed can't shoot and there's concerns about the way he views his role in the NBA that have surfaced.

Bane is overrated, IMO. Smart guy. Nice dude to have as an option off the bench. Just not my flavor.

I like Tyler Bey, but I don't see a ton of upside with him unless he improves on offense. He's Roberson lite essentially. Not sure I want another 5+ years of that.

Bolmaro is interesting and probably the only player I'd consider but he's thin and not a good enough shooter (yet) to open up creation upside. Maybe he develops that and maybe he doesn't. He will be nice in transition though.

Smith and Reed both rebound, block shots and chip in scoring. So does Bey, who is a PF. Thunder need another young PF, tougher than Bazley.

Smith isnt ideal for every matchup but few are and he's close to size / mobility I prefer. Perhaps should put on 5-10 pounds / strengthen legs but see what he can do in NBA as is first.

Bane is one of the most underrated players on some mocks, imo.

4 players who range from might be available for Thunder to likely will be are: Hampton, Mannion, McDaniels and Stewart. I would look elsewhere. Trade down if they want / can, but imo don't take these players.

Hampton comes off as cocky to me so I don't like him very much. If he falls to 25, yeah I'd take a swing. Not sure why we would draft Mannion. Sub-par athlete all-around. Lacks burst, explosiveness, etc. which are requirements to be a good backup point, IMO. He's a good passer, though, and might be able to shoot a little. McDaniels is a guy I'd take a swing on as well, but honestly I'm just tired of drafting projects. I'm pretty low on Stewart as I think back up 5s can be found relatively cheaply and we need an upgrade on the wing like peanut butter needs jelly.

According to my big board, I've got guys like Hughes, Woodard II, Bolmaro, Ramsey, and Green in that range.

Acording to most mock drafts I see this is what I think the thunders draft looks like.. 1st round thunder select Jaden McDaniels... 2nd round pick Nate Hinton. Then I see the thunder buying 1 or 2 late 2nd round pick and taking either Chris Smith from UCLA or/and Udoka Azubuike. More than likely 1 or both player would be on a 2 way Contract. Okc resigns Galo if possible to less than a 12 million a year and see what they look like at the trade deadline.. Players like Burton,Nader, and maybe even Ferguson has to go.

Who we pick in the draft is hard to know, Presti always make weird move. Depend how good roberson look I give roberson a 5 million or less for a year to see how well he is in a completly year. And give Gallo 3 year for 15 millions each year .if we can trade cp3 next year or in his last year , we can also trade Gallo if not , we have him until Cp3 is gone and then we trade him in his last year. I will trade our first and Ferguson if we can get the 15 pick or 16 pick or trade ferguson for a high second

I agree.. I would like to see the thunder swing a trade with Orlando. Send Schroder and Ferguson Clippers 2022 and Clippers 2024 1st for Magics 2020 1st Ross and a filler. Patrick Willams would be the guy I would like Okc to get with a higher 1st round pick.. I think Willams and Mcdaniells would benefit being around CP3 and Galo for a year or 2.

I can't take the opinion of anyone here seriously who said they didn't want to draft Thybulle last year.

What do you guys think about Ty-Shon Alexander? I'd consider him at 25...

Can we actually get a 3 and D guy? Someone who actually knows how to shoot 3s and defend Plus comfortable handling the ball. I’m tired of projects on the wing who can’t truly score let alone shoot a 3. Roberson, Ferguson, Diallo, Nader, Burton .

Dort is our best option forward if we don’t draft one or get one in free agency

Idk about Bazley as he could play the 4 primarily

We need shooters and to stop acting like every good defensive prospect can/will be a good shooter with practice

Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
