I think Shai passes up so many good looks because his release is slow and low. I’m not sure if he trusts himself to get the shot off in the face of a defender.

He worked on speeding it up this summer. I think it's adequate, he's just not used to being expected to be a primary scorer. I think there's a lot more pressure to make every shot in that role, and he's not sure exactly where the balance is. he needs to get a little bit better at shooting or drawing contact. He's lacking a go to way of getting points right now, once he's actually elite from one area it will open everything.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I don’t think it’s too slow but it does look low. Even with his long wingspan, it still easier to block without fouling because the ball is out in front of him and not over his body. He looks to me like he doesn’t trust it at times.

Man it feels like it’s been forever since Shai had a good offensive game.

Adams finally looking better. Let’s hope it was just injuries.

Hayes looks like very athletic sideshow bob.

This offense is such trash. It doesn't generate a single good shot for anyone off the ball. We never get free cutters or open looks that aren't generated by drive and dish. it's such pointless movement, you might as well just bring the ball up and run p&r, at least we'd have the floor spaced in ahead of guys running into each other.

Yea they would be better off saving energy especially when Dennis is on the floor.

This is why I didn't mind the russ lead teams not having real championship aspirations. They were at least fun to watch. This is that same brand of basketball, but with mediocre athletes that can't overcome the limitations.

With doc rivers Shai was a high iq player. Under Billy’s tutelage he looks like Andrew Wiggins of years past.

I didn’t think the russ led teams of the last two years were that fun to watch. PGMVP was a blast though.

Positives- Steven Adams, Gallinari and cp3 looking like good trade chips.
Negatives- we won and Shai was once again bad.

Team is starting to have more guys chip in. Started season as mostly 2-4 guys. Now have 5-7 guys a night contributing. This will be a nice win. 2 in a row. :)
As a Gallo fan I would like to see him posting up more. He is very good passing inside to other bigs. Gallo plays his best when he averages more FT attempts than 3 attempts.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Chris Paul cost us some draft position tonight

I would not want any player not playing to win. If I'm a team scouting CP3 or any player for a trade I want to see them doing everything they can to win.

I wouldn't expect less. Just tongue in cheek saying he carried us down the stretch
