Hearing Matt Pinto call cp3 “remarkable” is a bit surreal. Great start by shai. Dort needs to chill on the threes but I’m sure he’s just doing what he’s told. Even with bazley’s mistakes I see some good things. Feels like Ferguson hasn’t made a shot in a month.

Shai is from Toronto so I figured he'd play good. He wants to perform good for his family and friends at the game.

Shai scoring efficiently despite being surrounded by a mostly lousy offensive supporting cast has been impressive.

Bazley’s offensive game is a work in progress but his defensive potential is obvious.

That defense on that last raptors possession by Ferguson and Dort was quite the site to behold. Really impressive.

I'm getting a similar vibe to what we saw out of Domas when he was here. Insofar as he appears to have been given limited leeway as to what they want him even attempting on offense. Spot up. Move it. Don't drive unless the lane is wide open.

Also, why is Matt Pinto doing the broadcasts now? Is that a permanent change?

Not clear what happened with Fisher. Is he sick?

Yes. They said at the start of the last game that he stayed behind on the road trip because he wasn’t feeling well.

Ouch must be pretty bad to actually sit out two games.

I was prematurely hard on him. I’m really pleased with what I’ve seen defensively lately. Just like Shai, you can seen how much more decisive he is in offense once a few shots go in.

Yeah he does.

He has gotten a ton of wide open looks and it seems like he's missed every single one of them over the last 10 games. And I'm talking wide open as in no defender within 10 feet of him and he has missed damn near every single shot.

According to Basketball reference, he's shooting 27% from three in the month of December. So ya know, your basic prototypical Thunder starting SG of the last 10 years. [Full disclosure, he did shoot 39% from three in November]

I find it equally depressing that he's assisted on almost every field goal make of the season according to that data. The guy almost literally can't create any semblance of his own look. Even Thabo back in the day had some ball skills where he's dribble drive and do something every now and then.
