Either they intend to let him "play his game" or they won't. Run n gun is not generally what Presti has been about. If they don't let him play that way, they can try to teach him a new way (if so, probably don't let him play the old way even in G league) or trade him or just let him fizzle out of this context.

Is there a middle ground where he gets some handoffs? I dunno.

Poku is improving indeed

Still a long way to go but I'm glad to watch him making shots

The passing appears to be legit and has been for a while.

Imagine if he can become a knock down 3 point shooter, with that size, passing and helpside defense. Pretty rare.

This was always the exciting part about Poku to me. Imagine him in a few years running PnR's with someone like Evan Mobley??? :o They're both rail thin but the potential seems insane.

We aren’t likely to be picking where Mobley will be taken.

Is he really 7ft? Looks shorter on the highlight videos when he was up against anderson and brooks... good game from him by the way.

He runs and plays a bit hunched, which may make him look shorter IMO. Its probably one of the reasons his handle is so good for his height though.

Very happy to see him flashing. Never doubted him. He has special traits. Get some arc on that shot, correct his feet flailing and you are looking at a quality rotation guy sooner than later. After that, who knows the ceiling. His handle and passing is already very good, he is a nice rebounder as well. My biggest surprise is his good help defense and how well he moves his feet on defense in general. The issue is his body will take time, so I expect him to get bullied through his Sophomore, even Junior, seasons in the NBA.

If he works out he is going to be one of the most entertaining players to watch in the NBA. So much odd, unique flare to his playing style.

This is how I've always felt about him. Noticed his length and feel on defense too, even when he was struggling offensively before his G League stint. He does still direct things a little bit though  So excited to watch Poku grow!

Pokeyman ran out gas against the Cavaliers and they had to bench him for a loooooong time. He clearly has a stamina problem being so frail and skinny. When Pokeyman sees a weight room, he turns and walks the other way.

i still think he sucks. he just has a strange skillset for his size. if it included any shooting ability whatsoever i'd be more interested. until he shows that he can make jump shots he's a non-entity to me.

Of course he still sucks. But he went from suckiest nba player of all time to developmental player who EVERY team in the league would clear a roster spot for tomorrow if they had the opportunity. It’s an enormous in-season leap.

His shooting sucks, but it sucks way less than it did early in the season and he hasn’t had an nba off-season yet at 19. To not have some optimism compared to earlier this year is a real grumpy-Gus POV.
