Using a TPE for Diakite is weird though...

I don't think they used a penny of the Adams TPE. Plus, they can always renounce the rights to everyone and go under the cap and use the $32+ M cap space to acquire a guy making well over $12.8.

Not gonna be an important game but at least we can root for the Thunder to win tomorrow....hope Giddey/Poku starts.

Guess we will have some indications about our future rotation... I'm really lost right now :p

I'm almost certain I heard that Roby will be starting at the 5.

I wouldn't be shocked if our main lineup is Shai/Dort/Bazley/Poku/Roby + Favors/Giddey/Maledon off the bench...

If there is one thing I want to see this season its minutes where both Poku & Giggey are on the floor together.

I'm skeptical about the fact that many people believe Giddey will start the season on the bench. As a rebuilding team with only young players it doesn't make sense to draft a guy with the sixth pick to be an option coming from the bench. Giddey is so young that you need to play him as much as possible and if we are building this team around Shai, you need to find out ASAP if Giddey is a good fit next to him..

Giddey might have like 12 potential assists per game and 2 actual assists. He's looked good I thought too and yeah it's only preseason but whooooooooooo boy they're gonna be bad.

At least we won't need to rest good players next season...our defense will be beyond terrible.

Can't stand Bazley anymore. Not a big Roby believer but he's playing well.

Giddey has looked really good. Was our 2nd best player on the floor and is only 18.

Giddey looking promising and us sucking is what we want to see. Another top 5 pick is what we need.

Would be nice if a guy like Mann could show some potential too.

We can still end up with a bottom 3 record even if most of our young guys are playing very well (only exception being if SGA plays like a superstar)

I was already high on Giddey but damn he played above my expectations. So gifted and fun to watch.

He has everything to become a very good player. Shooting and lack of athleticism may be an issue but time will tell. His defense is bad but I'm not worried he will learn pretty fast.

Not much to say about the rest of the team :(

Yep with the obvious caveat of "preseason" at least feels like Giddey has a decent/solid floor in the NBA. He doesn't look out of place and the skill level is there. And feels like a lot of negativity toward the offseason at least would have been avoided if he played summer league and people got to see him some.

I was honestly impressed here. He's not gonna be able to contest at the rim or in transition against some of charlotte's athletes but I thought he did a great job in the pnr and defending without fouling.

Yeah I didn't see anything concerning about his defense. He was always well positioned and did a good job of not fouling. Most players are pretty terrible defensively in their first year anyway.

Didn't see Giddey coming with this level of poise and confidence right away.
