Poku always was extremely boom or bust: outside the league after his rookie-contract or future all-star. Nothing between. I think it's still possible that he becomes a very good player, but surely he can be out of the league very soon.

Im ok with us completely dropping this season to load up in this draft, but we should start filling our roster and signing some servicable players after this season. Players cant develop good habbits with some extreme busts we have right now on our roster.

Kinda wish they'd start Poku in the G-league again instead of playing him 10 minutes a game.

If Bazley doesn’t make a significant jump, I think teams will still kick the tires on him for a few more years.

I think Bazley and Poku are far better than Ferguson ever was, FWIW. Ferguson couldn’t hang mentally, IMO.

Poku is going to be in the league a long time, IMO.

I think both of them will hang on the league a lot longer, but I do think Poku has a chance of being one of those max contract players at some point if he figures one thing or two in his game.

It is too early to know which direction Poku will take, but Bazley could become a problem. He seems to have a fragile mentality.

Bazley startet last night in the 3'quarter against the Warriors to put the game on the loosing street. No more teammates around him.

shai having a pull-up three now is funny. a couple of years ago his shot took five minutes to come out. shai is is a model giddey should observe when it comes to developing a modern nba scoring repertoire. shai didn't have all tha tmuch more than floaters and push shots his rookie year, either.

I would be super high on JRE if he had a longer wingspan. Super smart player who can do a bit of everything. His lack of length will unfortunately limit him from being a long term solution at the 5.

I think he can fill the Collison role as the first big off the bench and useful in a lot scenarios.

Read on Twitter
?s=20 likely for the best. could use the on ball reps and I think just getting to see his shot fall against lesser competition could help. maybe Jerome plays a bit more now. bad news for the tank though

It's a failure to have to send your #18th pick to the G league (in a very bad/young team). Probably for the best though because Mann needs more confidence and playing time.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong over time but I just don't see the flash in Poku that Thunder fans claim to see.

I just don't see anything special yet. Obviously he's still young and has plenty of room to grow, so I'm not completely sour on him. But a big part of me still wishes Presti would have used last year's 1st round pick on Desmond Bane. He was one of the top 3 guys who I wanted in that draft class.

Fast forward to the 2021-2022 season.....Bane is efficiently dropping 19 ppg while shooting 48% FG | 41% 3PT | 88% FT%.

We've badly needed shooters for over 4 years now but for whatever reason Presti passes on this guy to roll the dice on a long shot project (Poku).

With the number of picks we do have I hope eventually we do pick more ready players rather than keep going for younger players who just need to develop shooting but never really does .

Probably as soon as next two draft.

I don't think we need to commit to taking a more ready, or older, player. We should take whoever will compliment Giddey and SGA long-term. Whatever benefits us the best. If that's a guy who has self-creation chops but needs reps, so be it. Of course, we will weigh the likelihood that he develops versus just taking the steady 3&D player, or proven college-rim-protector.

Long story short, we will take whoever gives us the best chance at developing the brightest future.
