I don't know about anyone else but we don't have enough posters to go back and forth between the regular season and trade board. If mods approve, I figured we could start clean.

Chet Holmgren should not get the max rookie extension.
“Holmgren and Williams are eligible to sign up to a five-year, $247 million extension. The total value could increase to $296 million if MVP, All-NBA, and Defensive Player of the Year escalator clauses are included,” according to Bobby Marks.
J-Dub deserves it, but Chet's unavailability is a problem. His injury history makes giving him a full max an unwise decision.

Dropped 40 in the finals with a wrist injury on his shooting wrist. Also explains why he couldn't hit a 3 throughout the playoffs.

You give him the max and live with it. If he doesn't live up to it for whatever reason you're not a contender either way.

mods working hard here didn't see this thread before. Great idea to open a new one.

There is a reason they call it the “fun max”.

can't really complain about OKC not making moves. I would have done a Joe + Dieng package but I get that Isaiah Joe is still good enough that he has some room to improve (mostly in the postseason) and his contract could be key with 3 players having over 80% of the cap

We did make moves though. Trading Dillon and 24.
In all honesty, once we finish with extensions see what wiggle room we have with Dieng/joe contract .

It’s cap flexibility for whatever they can get out of that.
Could probably field a better bench than they had in recent seasons.

Bruce Brown. I'm not impressed. People don't realize how bad he's been. They aren't any better now than they were last season.

As of now he is replacing Russ, who was good for them last year.

it opened the door for them to sign a guy for a bit less than 10 millions/years which is great considering how bad their financial were but yeah no major improvement yet.

Mavs still in deny. Some might think that Luka is coming back next year.
it looks like a troll but this is still a Mavericks podcaster with almost 20K followers.
