I was just gonna open a game thread, thanks for doing it! Great name too.

I aged 10 years in one season because of the Thunder and I went from having Jwill's hair to become almost as bald as Caruso but ultimately it was worth it ;)

It's not easy to repeat but hope our team can maintain their winning mentality and stay healthy...I'm a bit concerned about preseason injuries but let's go. Thunder up!

at this point I'm just happy Ajay and Caruso are IN. Gonna be tough to overcome JDub being out against that good Houston team. I'm not a double big line up believer despite the fact that we need a guy like Hart on our roster so Jdub absence gonna hurt us a lot early this season IMO.

Expecting a tough first game tonight for ring night [!] Rockets are going big lineup and will probably deploy Amen on Shai as a defender. It's unclear how our team will generate great scoring with Jdub out and Joe is also out so we will probably have some interesting lineups to address that.

My keys to the game 1!
[I prob wont do this every game...]

Win possessions/TOs battle - Rox with big lineup will not have a natural PG in the game [and they don't have a battle tested one on the bench except Aaron Holiday] and can be forced into bad decisions. They could howver crash the glass and negate that issue with gained possesssions offensively. Need all hands on deck to be even rebounding, and plus TO margin.

Control KD - He'll have emotions surely playing in his old stomping ground while we get da rings, he could go off for a huge night and OKC's primary defenders on him are smaller, we need to make KD work for his shots and hold him below 50% from the field.

Movement and pace - Rockets are a big team, use that to our advantage offensively by making them run a lot. Their bench has some good pieces but have not played a full NBA game together, get them out of sorts and go on runs, and this game is OKCs. Muddled in the half court or close enough for a KD game winner, HOU has a chance.

Chet looks awesome but playmaking is beyond terrible without JDub, Ajay and Topic.

Also we lost to Indiana im the preseason - though both teams were not playing full rosters the Pacers were definitely intent on winning the game and played a lot better.

This game I'm expecting the Pacers to have that same fire because most of the squad is still intact (minus Turner) and they will come out to play.

It will be interesting how they operate with some players who missed time all last year (Jackson and Wiseman). It really strengthens the rotation to have those guys back, but losing Turner overall is a negative for talent at the post. Taelon Peter and Johnny Furphy will get PT from their preseason work and the Pacers need help at guard with their two main PGs out. Should be a fun one, season opener for the Pacers.

OKC is missing Cason, Caruso, Kenrich, Jdub, Joe so we have questions to answer with depth in this road trip

The first team in NBA history to go 82-0 with all games being double overtime. Going to be a long season. It also gives SGA enough extra minutes to guarantee his stats get him back-to-back MVP.
