If the Wolves don't take a shot at him I would be for seeing Tony Allen return to the area. Possibly Randolf Morris?

Might not be a bad idea.

I've always been a big fan of his, and the Celtics didn't pick up his option. He could likely be had pretty cheap, he'd provide some toughness and defense on the perimeter, and he'd be a hometown favorite.

Well the OKC Thundercats have very little cap space this summer and already have 14 players under contract, 15 if Hardin makes the team.

I would love to see them get Andris Biedrins but there is very little chance of that happening.

Quinton Ross and Royal Ivey are 2 guys I would love for them to pick up if they can create some roster space via trades.

Similar to the move the hornets made to bring in Desmond Mason, only I think Allen is a better player with his defensive capabilities and hopefully some explosiveness. The past injuries concern me a bit but they have reduced his price tag.

I'd think Tony Allen or James Posey would be great fits, Posey would take the full MLE though.

Posey wouldn't come because he's already had full MLE offers from championship teams... no reason for him to enter a rebuilding franchise.

Biedrins will get way over what we can pay.

Tony Allen is definitely a possibility. I also like the Quinton Ross mention. Either of these guys could come in and be the key wing defender on our team.

Doubt we end up signing anyone notable though... it will end up being Hardin or some other summer-league/undrafted FA type.

Posey could still be an option if we were willing to offer him a longer contract at the MLE. Boston is only willing to offer him 2 years. I think no one is willing to offer him 4. But at 31 four years might be too long of an offer. However, he could definitely help. He is a winner, and we desperately need a shooter. And he can play defense too.

I think 4 yrs at MLE for a 31 year old could potentially get it done (at this point in the game is a guy like Posey really playing for the $$??) However, WHY?? We're trying to build a team, not just get one more piece to put us over the top.
