Oklahoma City Thunder
Just thought I'd welcome the new team name into the league. You guys now have the newest name in the league instead of us in Charlotte. I think Thunder was an alrite choice...i do tend to like non-animal related logos more which is why i wanted Charlotte Flight to be our name but oh well. good luck next year

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder
"Thunder" is the name of the mascot for Golden State Warriors.
I guess they will either have to re-name him or trade him to OKC.

I liked the other names they had hoped for... like Barons. That would have been nice, I just hope they do something original with the uni's...

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder
I only hope that the fans who attend the games like the song "Thunder" by AC/DC.
Still, its a decent name, kind of "minor leagish" in a way but its all right. Now bring on the new logo and colors!!

I would have hoped they would have been more original than Thunder.
I would agree with the previous post of the name being "minor leagish" .
Best of luck though!.

Hey guys, just a question:
It wouldn't be better if it was OKC Thunders? What do you think about that?
Thanks and good luck.

I don't think the name is too bad, but what's the logo/colors going to be? I have a feeling the logo might suck.

I think you mean "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC, but that would be a cool tie-in. Good thinking.

I know what you mean by that, but I don't think that you can use those teams as examples for, "... and I'm proud to be a (insert name here)." Like you said, it doesn't sound right. The alternative would be, "... and I'm proud to be apart of the (insert name here) organization."

I'm kinda on the fence about the "Thunder" but I have a great idea for a mascot for the team if Thunder is indeed the name:

Me too, thunderbolts on uniforms tend to look really tacky and lame.

Well, one thing that annoys me, is you can't see thunder... so how are you going to show it with a logo? You could do bolts... but then shouldn't they be called the Lightning (already taken in hockey I think) or the storm (the WNBA's Sonics, haha)... I don't know, I don't even know why I'm posting on here, I'm a Celtics fan! Just thought I'd put in my opinion.

I was really hoping for the Oklahoma Outlaws but David Stern is probably too uptight for that since they had to change the bullets to the wizards.

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder
I'm not sure that I really like the name. I know that in NBA 2K8 there is a Thunder logo when creating a team. I really like Outlaws. Me and my brother had said that the name Thunder sounds stupid, oh well we'll all just have to live with it.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
