Here is an active link to the NBA schedule using the team name "Thunder". It also refers to the team as the "Oklahoma City Thunder" on that page.

None of the other 5 trademarked names are linked to the OKC schedule.

The link is no longer actively linked to the OKC schedule. My guess is that the OKC management heard about it on the radio today and gave the NBA a phone call. Anyway, hundreds of people saw the page already, so I'm not sure it's such a big secret anymore. Mark Rogers reported it about 3 weeks ago.

Sorry that the link doesn't work anymore, but when I posted this it did bring up the OKC schedule on the official NBA website.

I would guess this one falls completely on the NBA end. The "Thunder" wouldn't have anything to do with updating the official NBA website. My guess is that the name is known among the NBA front office and someone in IT was trying to get the OKC stuff ready to go for the name launch. Someone didn't get the memo that the "Thunder" info wasn't supposed to go live yet and several of the pages got linked when the schedule was posted. It was either an accident...or...some IT guy did it on purpose to link the name to internet savvy fans.

IF its true i can already see it -

Garth Brooks on opening Night Singing either the Nat Anthem and/or his Song Thunder Rolls or maybe they ask him to do a version of his song for them. He is after all from Oak and it makes sense. Just a thought
