Both these players need to be off the team in February.

I think it is obvious that Collison is not happy to be in Oklahoma City. His effort, compared to his teammates, is pathetic. He is being out played and out hustled by Swift, Petro, Wilcox, Mason, and Joe Smith.

His numbers are down from 10 points per game to 6 and his rebounds are down from 9.8 to 6. He is playing the same number of minutes as last year. It is time to move him, plain and simple.

I'd like to think that we could get a high-energy guy into OKC and ship Collison out. Joakim Noah for Chicago is a high energy guy that I wouldn't mind getting Collisons 27 minutes a game. Am I wrong or is his attitude, body language, and effort the worst on the team?

Earl Watson is a guy that plays with great effort. But I don't think he is helping any in the development of Westbrook. If Westbrook is the PG of the future we need to bring in a Vet that is willing to teach Westbrook. I swear a couple of times I thought Westbrook and Watson might fight. Regardless I don't think Westbrook is going to get any better under Watsons wing/headlock.

Again, I think a high engery guy or an older vet is the way to go. Would Cleveland be interested in a Watson - Gibson trade? I think you've got to go out and get a guy like Antonio Daniels or try to get a combo guard that can shoot (WE NEED SHOOTERS!)

This team's best chance at devoloping is to bring in high energy guys so they can play off the home crowd. Confidence Confidence Confidence. Guys like Durant, Green, Swift, etc etc go out and do their job and the crowd doesn't really affect them. Dez looks like a chicken with his head cut off when a time out is called (he is jumping around, everybody else has their head down).

You basically want to trade out Collison for another PF who can mix it up on both ends. Will he come off the bench or will he come in to sit in Chris Wilcox's starting spot?

Great trade, Ben, but I can't see Portland giving up that much for Collison.

No way they'd part with their starting small forward to add another PF to their already crowded front-court rotation. They've already got Pryzbilla, Aldridge, Oden, Frye pretty well planted into the rotation, not to mention occasionally going smaller and sliding Outlaw/Batum over. I just can't see them having any interest from any angle on this.

I agree that Diogu doesn't have a whole lot of value... but why would they give up a starting wing and a great shooter for a guy that may or may not crack the rotation. Even if you think that Collison and Webster have the same value (which I guess is possible), I don't see how Portland would do it.

Of course, from the Thunder side, I'd love it... we get another scorer and the great shooter we've been missing while offloading a guy who is talented but hasn't been playing well and has a little bit bigger contract.

how about kapono for watson. it sounds like you guys need a shooter and we need a backup pg badly

Portland trades a starter at one of their two weak positions for a poor backup at one of the spots taken by a member of their "big 3"?

Kapono for Watson probably does make a little bit of sense... I'm not in love with Kapono, but if you're trading a guy with flaws, you're not going to get perfection in return. I think that works out pretty well for both teams.

The Bucks need a little more help at the PF spot and I know there are a number of fans on our boards who are interested in Nick Collison (I personally would prefer a guy with better lateral quickness like Chris Wilcox)... do any of you think OKC would have interest in Charlie Villanueva and Damon Jones (or perhaps Dan Gadzuric if that's better for you)?

I like Damon Jones but am not sure that he would be a guy that would be willing to come to OKC to be a backup and a mentor for Westbrook. Plus he does not have a whole lot of value right now.

If a CV and Damon Jones deal were to be considered, I personally would be more interested in Wilcox over Collison, with Collison only being a consideration as a last resort (some fellow Bucks fans might disagree with that though). Also, I think throwing in a second rounder could be a little too much. Jones is an expiring contract guy that right now is sitting at home instead of playing minutes on anyone's team.. I would imagine that he would be happy to get back on the court. Perhaps I could be wrong about that, but if it doesn't work out, he's gone after the season and you could always go after someone else.

If you would prefer Tyronn Lue, we could potentially talk about him though, however he can't be traded until some time in December.

This is the reason for the 2008 draft.... replace both of them... in time

Charlie V would definitely give us some low post scoring. I'm not exactly sure how the lineup would form with Green and Durant... They don't have identical games or anything, but I'm not sure they really compliment each other well either. I would think if we trade a guy like Collison, we would be looking to bring in players that definitely fit into the long-term scheme.

Thr great thing about Damon Jones is that you can use him as a 2 guard also when you need 3 point shooting off the bench. Scott Skiles has gone with a two PG lineup at times and it has worked well having two ball handlers on the floor who can spread the defense. With CV, he definitely can provide you with low post and long range shooting, and he rebounds pretty well.

The best part of a deal involving both of these players is the fact that one is restricted and the other comes off the books this offseason leaving more room for your youth movement. I think CV would compliment whichever player wasn't traded also (either Collison or Wilcox) because of how he plays the game.. and if he doesn't work out then decline his option and let him go to another team via sign and trade or just let him walk, no harm no foul. Seems like he would be a good match for the style of ball you guys play, but I understand the reluctance of some of your fans in considering such a deal.
