STICKY!! Rivalries

Post#1 » by ws26 » Fri Dec 5, 2008 3:27 am

Hey, I'm gonna write an article on rivalries and I wanted some feedback.
I was hoping that you could give me a list of the team you would consider your rival, scale that rivalry 1-10, and your most hated player in the league (on any team).
Thanks.

I really think that this incarnation of the team is so new (and has wins over so few teams!), that there really aren't any big rivalries to speak of. I know that the Sonics biggest rivalry was pretty easily the Blazers.

Personally, the Spurs are easily my most hated team and a few of their players would head up the list of my least liked players, but that definitely doesn't reflect the sentiments of Thunder fans in general.

Just curious to onder why do you hate the Spurs?

Before the Thunder came to OKC, I was a big Suns fan. That probably explains a lot of it. But beyond that Ginobili and Bowen are probably my two least favorite players in the league (Shaq would probably round out the top 3). I just really don't like Ginobili or Bowen. Parker and Duncan are fine, and some of my animosity towards them has gone down in the last year or two (especially with not liking the Suns as much).

I remember when Ginobli flopped in a playoff game against the Sonics and in the replay they showed no one even touched him. I don't remember who it was but I think it was Reggie. From that day forward he became my least favorite player in the NBA.

hehe, SD, not sure if that was an insult or a true comment... lol

I think a lot of people who like the spurs or pistons seem to try to make the argument that if you don't like those 2 teams that you don't know what "real" basketball is. To me, it's not a matter of liking/disliking the hard-nosed type of basketball, for some reason I've just specifically disliked the spurs for quite a while now :)
