Rumor: Watson for Parker and Grahm
So there's a rumor on hoopshype.com this morning about leading back to the Daily Dime on ESPN. Nothing earthshaking, but an end to Watson's career with the Sonics. We would get Anthony Parker and Joey Grahm in return.

Would be interesting... Graham is probably wanted due to the OSU connection. I'm sure management has noticed the reception that Desmond gets... Parker is a decent player and a pretty consistent shooter, which is obviously a needed asset.

Re: Rumor: Watson for Parker and Grahm
Well I can see why the Blunder would want both Parker and Grahm. As mentioned above Grahm played at OSU (love the hometown hero's) and Parker is a shooting guard which is desperately needed for the Blunder.
But Parker has starter like minutes and has reserve like numbers. Is he really better then Wilkins? Really? He is expiring so that makes sense.
Other than financially I don't think it makes sense for the Blunder.
Who is going to back up Westbrook at the point? Weaver? Are they going to cut someone to make room for Mike Wilks?
I know the Blunder have reached for the sky this season with a 3-24 record but you don't go trading away your experienced back up point guard for cap relief. Especially with no back up point on the roster. Unless you really do want to have the worst record of all time.
You trade Watson and if Westbrook sprains anything you really will go 3-79.

That's a good point... we need a vet to back up at the point. Wilks is signed on Orlando through the season, I believe.
As far as Parker goes, no, he's no better than Wilkins, but has a different game... he hits outside shots, in other words, which is something the Sonics need.

Yeah, the shooting Parker brings (and the expiring contract) is what is important with him. Graham, despite the fact that he isn't any good at basketball, at least would bring some much needed strength to a team full of lanky guys.
Mike WIlks is out for the year with an injury he sustained in October. I think Watson can be just fine at our backup point spot as long as he plays within himself. Once he starts throwing crazy lob passes to nobody or chucking up some shots with guys in his face, that's when he hurts the team. Other than that, he really is a very acceptable backup PG.

LČast year, Parker was much much better then Wilkins this year. I haven' really seen him play this year, so i can't say how he looks, he's still lights out outside shooter and solid defender.
Graham has some solid numbers in last weeks, but shouldn't really be all that good at basketball.
backup point? I'm all for Russell getting 48 minutes
, maybe OKC could somehow get Marcus Williams and give him a chance? He could be signed straight up I think, as OKC is that much under the cap.
