Only a few players are off-limits in Oklahoma City, and the Thunder could have interest in trading for Detroit's Arron Afflalo and Amir Johnson.

Afflalo and Johnson are young players that would fill needs for the Thunder on the wing and in the paint.

Oklahoma City could sweeten any deal with a future draft pick.

What do you guys think would take?

Afflalo/Amir/Hermann for Wilcox works

Been on Pistons forum and they see them as their future and dont want them traded for expirings. Then it got a bit stupid saying who they wanted back quoting names like Green and Westbrook.

Absolutely terrible for the Pistons.

I heard a while back that the Pistons were high on Johnson so I would be surprised if they traded him.

Yeah, Dumars is a fairly intelligent GM... i really can't see him trading a good deal of his future players for Wlicox, who is an expiring who could decide to go a different direction at any minute.

Personally, I'd love if we could bring in that much potential for a guy who may not be here in a year... I just don't see it actually happening

The Blunder could spice up the deal with a first round pick.

Edit: Not sure if anyone has taken a look at the Pistons cap space but they have close to 40 mil coming off the books at the end of this season. I know everyone is talking about 2010 but maybe the Pistons will be making a play at restricted free agents? Driving up other teams cap? If they landed Wilcox they could legitimately go after Boozer and still over pay for another talent.

They will actually be the biggest competitor to the Blunder this offseason.

I wasn't saying it was a good deal just that it worked. I have no clue how to get them. I think a first would definitely have to be involved though but I do doubt that Presti could get them.

Good catch wiff. Nobody is really talking about this offseason much, and the Pistons could definitely make a push to acquire some talent.

I'd also point out that Hermann is a Bird Free Agent, and would undoubtedly decline a trade to OKC.

Pistons will have a core of Stuckey, Rip, Tayshaun, Amir, Maxiell, Afflalo with 4 draft picks and a ton of capspace.

There is no reason for Detroit to trade away their young players for players who will be free agents. Unless those players are Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire and/or Chris Bosh and Detroit has an inside shot of offering them the most money when they hit free agency.

Chris Wilcox is a nice player. But if Dumars really wants him, he can sign him outright without giving away players.
