What's up with this guy not getting playing time? He averaged 14 and 8 during the Seattle days and guys like Collison, Krstic and Smith are in front of him in the rotation?
Is there a trade coming up, does he have motivation issues, what do you fans think?

Re: Chris Wilcox
Who knows as far as trades. I think something with Watson and/or Wilcox will probably happen in the next month...
Collison has been playing well. He, Green, and Durant have complimented each other well lately. So there where ~60 of the 96 minutes are going. Past that, Krstic is going to get his to see if he can fit into the team... there's ~20 more. Then they've got kind of a committee thing going on between Swift/Smith/Wilcox... He hasn't looked bad or anything, I just think that maybe they know he isn't part of the future and want to see how the rest of the guys are looking together.

What a great game by Wilcox, he was all over the place! Still think he should stay and play big minutes off the bench.

I wonder if Wilcox was auditioning for the Pistons? There have been rumors about him and Detroit.

Re: Chris Wilcox
Just curious would anyone do this trade?
Chicago trades
Larry Hughes basically 13mil next 2 yrs
Joakim Noah 2.3mil next 2yrs
OKC trades
Joe Smith 4.8mil exp
Chris Wilcox 6.75exp
Saer Sene 2.2exp
Spurs 2009 1st round pick
It's a lot to give up for Noah however. Hughes does play D and his 13mil contract comes off the books 2010 which is the free agent bonanza.
The Thunder truely have so many assets they can over pay for something like this. Plus say you draft Harden and he struggles at least you have Hughes who plays D and is decent when healthy.

Re: Chris Wilcox
Interesting idea. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of Noah, but the premise of the trade is about right. I think we can afford to take on a contract like Hughes' and give up a 1st rounder in order to cash our expirings in for a big talent. The added bonus for the Bulls with that trade is that they lock up a lot of our cap room and basically force us to not be able to sign Ben Gordon (if that's a possibility at this point).

Re: Chris Wilcox
Another thing about the trade is that, (ok look I'm not trying to make fun of, or cut down OKC), but I don't see OKC really being a desired location for the 2010 free agents, but...........
A lot of teams in the league have some money coming off the books in 2010. Think if you were a team and had only 7 to 8 mil coming off the books. And you saw Larry Hughes big fat expiring contract wasting away in OKC. And all you needed to make legitimate play at LBJ, Bosh, and all the rest of the 2010 big splash free agents was to trade for Larry Hughes. How valuable do you think a contract like Larry Hughes would be to a team like that. You think Presti could turn Hughes into a few more assets.
You want a real chance at Bosh well you are going to have to pay to play. Why yes 2 1st round picks and that young stud will do just fine for Larry Hughes and Damien Wikins.

Re: Chris Wilcox
Very true. And I would agree that the 2010 Free Agency presents us more with options via trades than even a remote possibility of a LeBron/Bosh/Wade signing. Still hung up on not really liking Noah though... The Bulls have a lot of solid young players, maybe a package of a couple of the lesser guys would be more appealing? I may just be underrating Noah, but the few games I've seen Chi play this year, he hasn't exactly knocked my socks off.

Re: Chris Wilcox
Wilcox is too talented to only be playing 8 mins a game.
Heres an idea though:
With Detroit no doubt rebuilding after this year (sheed and A.I. will be gone, they'll have a run at Boozer, keep Stuckey & Prince) I can see them maybe letting Rip Hamilton become trade bait if they wanna find more cap space.
What about Dez Mason & Wilcox & future first (2010) for Hamilton?
Westbrook
Hamilton
Durant
Green
Kristic
That team could be a solid playoff contender next year.

Got to the Game on News Years Eve; flew in from NYC; when Wilcox plays 30 minutes and gets to touch the ball he produces; Plain simple facts>> 36 minutes 23pts 9 boards 3 blocks, 26 minutes vs Pistons; 17pts 11 boards. I will admitt hes not a great shot blocker but hz team "D" is on target. I kown for a fact Thunder management is shopping him and the reason a trade has not happened management wants All-Star level talent in return; so we sit and wait till the 11th hour when Sammy boy is faced with getting ZERO, Nada, nothing and then and only then will Weezy be set free. Remember every player that has left this situation winds up in a much better place !!
Return to Oklahoma City Thunder
