If Toronto wants go into full blown lottery rebuild mode, this trade works. I know I'm gonna get killed for it but, bear with me:
Their dreadful lineup for the rest of the season would look as such:
PG: Watson, Solomon, Ukic
SG: Parker, Kapono
SF: Durant, Moon, Joey G,
PF: Joe Smith, Humps
C: JON, Collison, Swift
Their lineup for next season, including OKC'S #1 :
PG: Watson, Ukic, Solo
SG: James Harden (our #1), AP
SF: Durant, Joey G, Moon
PF: Blake Griffin (OKC's #1), Joe Smith, Collison
C: JON, Swift, Jawai
OKC might do it and Bosh would agree 'cause he grew up only 2 1/2 hours away in Dallas and they'd have a very talented team, very fast. OKC's lineup:
PG: Calderon, Chucky Atkins
SG; Westbrook, Damian Wilkins, Kyle Weaver
SF: Green, Desmond Mason,
PF: Bosh, Wilcox
C: Bargnani, Kristic
The trade would be Bosh, Bargs and Calderon for Durant, Collison, Swift, J Smith, Watson and your #1. Go easy on me. Thanks

I'd rather have Durant then Bosh, but that's just me

Bosh would never resign in OKC.

I disagree; he grew up 2 1/2 hours away in Dallas and a good young nucleus of he, Westbrook, Green and Bargs are very good reasons to stay. Jeff Green is the exact sf that Bosh needs. Bosh vs Durant is debatable but JG makes KD expendable, plus you get a top 5 pg, that allows Russell to move to the sg and Bargnani.

Durant is the face of the franchise at age 20, averaging 25/7/3 in just his second year in the league. I wouldn't trade him for anyone. To me there are two untradable players, K-Durant and Westbrook.
Presti has a "plan" for this franchise and I like the direction we're going. No need to mess it up with blockbuster deals at this point.

Aside from the obvious "Durant is untouchable" stuff... I really don't see us giving up Durant AND our #1 pick, for much of anything at all. Those are 3 pretty solid pieces coming from Toronto (assuming Bosh re-signs), but I just don't think that we'd want to change direction that much. Bosh and Calderon are a little bit older and probably looking to win more now than Durant/#1 pick. I think we've still got 2 years until our team really gets going, and I like the course we're on now.

I disagree also. Bosh has said before that he wouldn't really want to play in his hometown of Dallas because there would be too many distractions. But OKC would be close enough to home but without the distractions of playing at home. Plus OKC has the cap space to resign him.

Durant is untouchable but there are several trades that I think would work well for OKC and Toronto.
Idea #1
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4964319Jeff Green, DJ White, Earl Watson, Joe Smith(exp), Chris Wilcox(exp), Desmond Mason(exp), 09 Spurs 1st rounder, 09 Nuggets 1st rounder, 2010 Thunder 1st rounder (lotto protected in 2010, top 10 protected in 2011)
for
Chris Bosh, Jose Calderon, Jason KaponoFor Toronto they get 17 million in expiring contracts 2 of them aren't bad players either, a young stud in Jeff Green, 3 1st rounders, unload Kaponos bad contract. I'd say thats a pretty good start if TO is going into full blown rebuild. Then if you unload J O'Neal for Marion in a follow up trade you could have around 40 million in cap space.
for OKC the lineup would be
Calderon/Atkins
Westbrook/Kapono
Durant/Wilkins
Bosh/Collison
Kristic/Swift

And a smaller trade for a Raptor rebuild:
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4964412Jeff Green, Joe Smith(exp), Chris Wilcox(exp), Desmond Mason(exp), 09 Spurs 1st rounder, 09 Nuggets 1st rounder
for
Chris Bosh, Jason KaponoRaptors get Green, 2 1sts, cap space, and get rid of Kaponos contract
For the Thunder:
Westbrook/Watson
Kapono/Weaver
Durant/Wilkins
Bosh/Collison/DJ
Kristic/Swift

1st trade: I'd do that in a heartbeat, although Calderon is gonna ride the bench.
2nd trade: No problem

Why would Caldy ride the bench? Westbrook would move to the 2, his natural position.

Although I would guess that we'd have to keep Calderon and Westbrook both on the floor as much as possible, Westbrook has really excelled at the point and I think it will be his long-term position (not just the position he happens to be playing now). I think that a true 2 would compliment him much better than a true point.

I think it's quite the opposite. Westbrook has played well as the 2 alongside Watson. I think a true PG would compliment Westbrook a lot more than a true SG. Westbrook seems more comfortable with another PG on the floor he's more able to use his natural skills. He makes up for his lack of height with his explosiveness, intensity and quickness I don't think he'll have any problem playing SG.
The best possible backcourt mate to compliment Westbrook would be a true pass first PG that also has some size 6'4" or 6'5" that also can knock down an open 3 pointer. If you can find someone like that then defensively Westbrook could guard PGs while our big PG could handle SGs. Calderon would be the perfect compliment to Westbrook but I guess we can only dream, Ricky Rubio would be an even better fit than Calderon because he's a better defender. More realistically I would love to see how Javaris Crittenton would fit with Westbrook.

you just said Hinrich

You would expect Calderon to guard SGs? That is disaster in the making.
Critttenton can't shoot at all, so he's not a solid backcourt mate for Russell.
I'd still say EJ

, but Hinrich is a much more realistic option.
