Could Nick Collison be going to NO like this?

OKC sends Nick Collison
NO send Julian Wright + Morris Peterson.

Why for OKC: Wright, plain and simple. He's another young piece to put beside Durant and a perfect player for the direction that team is being built. And I seriously think they would consider taking on MoPete's contract, for one; its a little cheaper - not enough to make a HUGE difference, but still - JuJu's potential will make it a lot easier to swallow. You have to have some vets on a team of youngsters and MoPete is one of those classy guys you'd want to fill that role.

Why for NO - You get rid of a "useless" player at this point, who makes way too much to keep on the roster. In return you get quite the serviceable big man in Collison who fills a BIG hole. Instantly they're better and increase their chances of going deeper into the playoffs all together. However, you lose JuJu (heartbreaker), but for the sake of the team as a whole you have to make the appropriate sacrifices.

Hornets laugh at your offer as they shred the document.

I'm a KU grad, and love Ju-Ju as I do all the former Jayhawks in the league. But he can't even get off the bench despite playing for a team that desperately needs someone other than Paul, West, Peja and (when healthy) Chandler to give them some production.

Why would the Thunder trade Collison -- their BEST PF/C -- for someone who hasn't got much of a clue how to play in the NBA?
