2010 Suns pick=Presti's genius

Post#1 » by wiff » Sun Mar 15, 2009 4:11 pm

With all that is happening with the Suns right now it looks like the 2010 pick that Presti managed to land with the TPE for Kurt Thomas is going to be a lotto pick.

Suns owner has admitted they could use a termination clause in Nash's contract that would save them 7million dollars on the cap. And send Nash to find a new contract.

The Sun's owner is the biggest idiot ever. You send Nash packaging how many wins is that team going to have? How much money is Nash making you? An empty stadium doesn't bring in much money Sarver.

Plus the rumors that Shaq is unhappy. They could save another ten mil in salary if they traded Shaq to the Thunder for Watson and Wilkins. Heck if they are going to simply release Nash why not trade Shaq too? After all Watson would be a fine replacement for Nash. Trust me Sarver you won't miss a beat with Watson.

You think Shaq is going to be happy in Phoenix without Nash?

But the owner is so dumb he is doing all of this a year early.

Go ahead and blow it up Sarver I'm sure your fans will love watching crappy ball for two years before you get your first lotto pick.

I'm sure Presti would love to take Shaq off your hands for you Sarver. That would solidify the 2010 Suns pick being a top 5.

I remember when the Kurt Thomas deal went down with the 2010 pick everyone had a watchful eye wondering how competitive they were going to be in three years. Looks like things will be worse than expected.

OKC's future is bright thanks to Presti the genius. He's turned first round picks into gold and they got Thabo Sefolosha for a pick that probably won't be as valuable as the others.

Is the 2010 Suns pick protected at all?

Very true. If I could choose any year in the last few and next several years to have Phoenix's pick, it would be 2010. They should be right at the bottom of the trough and not on the way back up yet!

Well Presti could have said yes to Kurt Thomas and the first rounder that was/is Serge Ibaka but the Presti held out for another pick.

That's the genius. A "good" GM would have taken the bait with simply the first pick, but getting the second pick was genius.

Actually it goes even beyond the two picks and Kurt Thomas it's getting the TPE in the first place from the Magic for Rashard Lewis. He could have lost Lewis for nothing. But instead of losing Lewis for nothing he gets the service of Kurt Thomas, Serge Ibaka and what looks to be a lottery pick.

BRILLIANT!
