Thunder/Spurs POG

Post#1 » by wizkid27 » Tue Mar 17, 2009 3:43 am

Well... the Spurs are my least favorite NBA team, so it was great to get a tough win against them. Interesting mix of performances from this team tonight. If you looked at the stat sheet, you wouldn't see a usual recipe for success for this team. In any case, the players that really stood out did it on the defensive end (as supported by the score).

Player (points/rebounds/assists)
Durant (25/3/2)
Sefolosha (12/1/2)
Collison (8/10/0)
Krstic (5/7/1)

Looks like the majority are on the Thabo wagon here. Might as well form a club in his name while we're at it.

Yeah, there's definitely some serious love for this kid. Most of it understandable... Don't be too quick to overlook the other role players on the team though. Guys like Krstic, Collison, and Weaver routinely step up in big ways as well.

I didn't watch this one !
Did Thabo really stop TP ? I just saw the highlight on nba.com and the last blocked shot ! :D

It seems also that KD carried the offense pretty well ! What happend to Green ?

This game was really a defensive struggle... Not too many players were getting going on offense (Green/Westbrook/Krstic all looked like crap).

Thabo did a pretty good all-around job on D. Parker completely torched us in the 3rd though (I think he had like 16 points in the quarter). Most of them were pretty tough shots though, he just had it going. Thabo actually did a really good job of helping down on Duncan the few times that he did. I think that he actually blocked 2 of Duncan's shots (not reflected in stats though).

Thanks Wizkid ! You are way better than swiss newspaper ! ;-)

I like when he tries to help on the low post... but actually that didnt work really well against the suns and Shaq ! They killed the Thunder behind the three point line !
I am glad it worked with the spurs !

Well... the big game is tonight for Thabo !

Go Thabo !
